The AAA Affiliate has officially been moved to OKC, not only that, they bought the team.

Rumor has it AA will be moving to Tulsa of the Texas league. Park factors say that Tulsa is a little more HR friendly, but overall suppresses runs better than Chattanooga.

Damn. I'm going to miss having the Isotopes as our affiliate.

It's a lot better for player development, they can actually send pitchers to AAA and not fear the park will wreck them. Also, they get away Las Vegas, Salt Lake and Reno for Pacific league games and get to go to Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans and Round Rock (pitchers/neutral parks) for American league games

That's going to piss my brother off (lives in Albuquerque). He still refers to them as the Dukes and now they're taking them away from him yet again. Personally, I think it's probably the best thing for the team. Albuquerque just seems like a place that destroys pitching prospects and makes players like Federowicz look like beasts. There's no upside to it whatsoever.

As long as they stay in Rancho I'll be happy. I liked it when they were the 51's, I was at a game years ago in Vegas when a couple women behind me said the Karros was so hot looking and I told them he'll be in the majors very soon. Turns out he was called up the next day so I was lucky enough to see the all-time HR leader in LA Dodger history in his last AAA game. Those moments make baseball so unique in that you could witness possible future HOF'ERS in their baseball infancy.

The Topes team store has a bunch of cool stuff I can't buy now.

They have a ton of Breaking Bad associated gear.

Although I'll wait to see who picks them up as an affiliate. If it's a team that's not a direct rival to the Dodgers, I might end up buying it anyway. I already have a topes hat.

Yeah, Rockies and Albuquerque are perfect for each other. I'm actually glad we are leaving Albuquerque. Too many times we have to question how legit a player's power truly is because of that stadium, and it makes our decent pitching prospects look like complete busts.

Actually makes complete sense. They will be able to accurately assess the ability of their young pitchers in an environment very similar to their MLB stadium.
