    • Cuban outfield prospect Eddy Julio Martinez recently worked out for the Royals and had an impressive showing. The Dodgers and Giants remain interested as well, he adds. It’s worth also pointing out that each of those three clubs has already spent heavily enough on international free agents to incur maximum penalties, so the only further repercussion they’d face is further luxury taxation.

Dude must have crazy leverage thanks to the Dodgers and Giants (rivals) being in pursuit. I believe Kasten was in Atlanta when they brought Andruw Jones in and that's the name they keep using when describing him.

Have you been there? Ugly as sin on tv, but I enjoyed the park on the whole.

    No I haven't.
    Just on TV.
    Seems so dark and cluttered.

The concourses and restaurants are top notch. Was really surprised myself. Park itself isn't as bad as it looks on television.

    Angels blowing it!

7-6 Rangers now. Matt Vag-skersian said "and the Rangers take a 1 to nothing lead!"

Mets lose first game of doubleheader.

    Homefield Advantage:

    Dodgers (90-70) --
    Mets (89-71) 1.0 GB

2 games left to play for each team. Magic Number for HFA is 2

I don't really give a shit about home field because I think the 5:00 starts at the Ravine would be more beneficial to the Mets starters, I don't think it matters where/when Greinke & Kershaw pitch.

    Just my .02

If it gets to a game 5 I'd rather it be at Dodger Stadium. That's what it comes down to for me.

But yeah I think having home field in a 5 game series puts a lot of pressure on the home team actually. If you split the first two you feel like you failed. Then your 3 starter gets the ball on the road.

Either way I'll be nervous. Stop torturing me!

That's fair. You could argue that the teams record in their home starts (combined 24-8 (each 12-4) entering tonight) is reason enough to want Kershaw & Greinke to start games 1 & 2 at home.
