Not sure how nerdco will shape up the roster. I wouldn't be suprised to see em go cheap again and pull a kinda rebuild kinda contend bullshit product again.

I'll give it up that the Mets were the better team this series, but "a good team"? They looked very beatable to me.

And even then, if we could get one hit with RISP we'd be in the NLCS.

I think the offense and Anderson gift wrapped this series for them. No way they were the better team.

Wish we had the chance at Maddon. What about Manny Acta?

Whether you agree or not, we all know Donnie's gonna be the fall guy.

I couldnt bear that because how many years of prime Kershaw or Greinke do we have?

And I also feel like its fraud. The Guggenheims said they would win NOW and long-term. Well, put your moneh whers your mouth is.

That's why they were the better team. In the end the winner was the team who sucked less and ran into one for a HR.

I'm probably in the minority, but I don't put this on Mattingly. Players gotta play, and ours didn't/can't.

That said, I could care less if we fired Mattingly right now. So something is lacking.

The third starter is the biggest one and at least the most controllable. I mean anderson is the best our geeky front office could come up with? Oh latos right? Guess the nerds had some inside info on him that didnt pan out. Maybe it just wasnt important to them because we all know for sure kershaw is a for sure win in the playoffs.....oh wait... Its pathetic we never even had a chance in that 3rd game. And thats all you ask for at least a chance.

Obviously there are other issues, but every team has other issues. But we got that payroll though.

In the same boat. I don't think it's his fault, but I wouldn't fault them in firing him nor do I think he's good at his job.

Definitely not Mattingly's fault. But if he goes so be it. But I want to hear who everybody's great replacement will be? They'll be bitching regardless. Meh

Agreed. Mattingly does a lot wrong, but we've seen in these playoffs that this team just can't get it going enough to win. Whether it's Clayton shitting the bed the past two years or the offense, you can't blame the guy behind the dugout when no one can score a fucking sac fly.

deGrom was beatable both games and they came up limp when they had a shot to break the game open. Don't know what's gonna happen this offseason, but something, like a fucking shaman or getting lil B to sing the national anthem to get us some good juju needs to happen to this team.

And I'll say this, I agree on a lot of counts, but especially how this team looks dead once they get behind. Either they try for the HR ball and end up swinging at shit, or they just seem like they don't care. There's no life on the offense outside of Turner.

Don is gone. Don't hate him, but somethings gotta give. Maybe getting rid of the players manager will show these assholes we want to fucking win. Something needs to light a fire under their asses.

    I think we are going to see more of a move to the youth;
    1. SS, 3B and CF are absolute locks
    2. RF, Puig should be back, a lot of people are pissed at him, but trading him now would be the dumbest thing the organization could possibly do. His stock is very low now, it's not like Kemp where his contract could become an albatross if they don't trade him. He should stay and he better get his fucking act together for next season.
    3. 1B, AGon is probably back, he can be so good... and so bad. He's getting older and his contract is not up for 3 more years. I don't think they can, nor will move him unless something comes along that is just perfect for them. Bellinger had a great year, but is a year or two away and not many are sold on just how productive he will be. If we get anyone, please Votto, I would die a happy man.
    4. 2B, I'd almost prefer to go Turner to 2B after Howie turns down the QO. Turner at 2b, Peraza at SS and Seager at 3B, but that isn't gonna happen. I'm guessing that it is Peraza's position to lose unless the same thing as 1B, someone just too good to pass up comes along.
    5. C, Get healthy Grandal and god help us if he needs the same shoulder surgery as Hanley, Kemp and Adrian did... We are gonna be over the cap anyway, bring back Ellis. Barnes could use another year in AAA.
    6. LF, Ethier and Crawford need to go. Selling highish on Ethier, but it's time. Team needs someone that can add a bit more power and doesn't have a history of shitting himself come the postseason. Crawford? I'm done, just eat his contract and send him on his way. He's just eating up a spot on the 40 man. Could go with the platoon of SVS & Schebler. Doubt they look at FA, but out there is Cespedes, Upton, Gordon, Rasmus, Parra and Heyward.
    7. Bench, Keep building that thing up, SVS, Schebler, Kike and Ellis should all be good for the bench. Guerrero is probably gone.
    8. Rotation, Kershaw, Wood and Ryu are all their with DeLeon and Urias knocking on the door. Guess they try to extend Greinke, if he walks, they go after a trade partner or someone else like Price or Cueto. Hard to see them spending a ton of money here when they have 4 guys under contract long term at SP.
    9. Bullpen, did a great job down the stretch with Hatcher and Kenley. Yimi needs to be a 1 inning guy only and both Howell and Avilan are solid pieces. Baez may have hurt his standing so team could look to add another piece via trade.
Coaching Staff, Mattingly is gone. Under performing team down the stretch and he never seemed to be the leader this team needs going forward. Game 1 is on him and he tried to stay with Crawford too long and that hurt. Besides that he actually didn't do terribly outside of that. The teams lack of fire was evident and they need a new voice. With the team getting younger moving forward, would LOVE Dave Martinez going forward!
It sucks that the season is over, but with the way the team limped down the stretch (literally and figuratively), I think many of us kind of saw this coming.

I don't blame don for this loss but I do blame him for losing game 1. Putting Baez in to face wright was just plain stupid. Chances are he's gone tomorrow and let the rumors fly. Overall I just want to win.....just once in my lifetime.

I'd be surprised if he were gone. If he is, I'd imagine Bud Black becomes the immediate leading candidate, because I sure as hell don't want Scioscia (he has an option I believe).

I'm cool keeping Mattingly though tbh. (I know, I know)

Feel like if we bring in a whole new staff it's like starting all over. This is a team built to win now, not go in a mid prime crisis. I dunno maybe that's just my dumb mental thoughts thinking that matters at all.

One of the best home field records all year and they go 1-2 in the series. Go figure....
