This has not been a great off season for the Silver and Black. They have missed on all their top FA targets and one player that would have pushed them over the top on D is a complete and total utter fucking moron. I guess I am a privileged person, but how fucking stupid can you be as a human to not figure out that this probably your last chance to have a decent life?! He had basically 4 more months to fly straight and he couldn't do that for 4 fucking weeks. I hope the NFL sees this dude needs structure, not tossed aside on the street to be dead by the age of 40, but that is probably where this is going. As for the rest of the Raiders, almost feels like they're asleep at the wheel. One signing thus far and all I heard from it was that he was one of the worst rated OL in the game. They had a couple of holes to fill to become the top contender in the AFC with the Pats, now they are probably the 3rd best team in the West. I hope Reggie pulls a rabbit out of his hat in the draft, but this has been damn disappointing.

 

There are still some impact/top FAs out there, so I wouldn't say they've missed on all their targets. I think more than anything it's just been a slow start to FA and a different approach than in year's past. The ILB and RB markets have been slow to develop ( no surprise, 2 devalued positions), however, it looks like they could land WR Patterson from the Vikings..only 1 drop last year and solid hands overall, explosive athleticism out of the slot and as a kick returner, would be a pretty good fit w/ a talented passer for once in his career. But then I also saw a report that said the Vikings may not be out of the running for both Patterson and AP..still, if the RAIDERS could nab both of those guys from the Vikings that'd be pretty nice and they are reportedly in there for both. Either way, personally, I never expected Reggie to go as big in FA this year. There are just less holes to fill w/a good team and Carr's/Jackson's contract extensions are due and will more than likely take up around 30 of the 43-44M in space that's available. And then there's the 6M that goes toward the draft, so it's tight right now and they'll probably have to restructure some guys just to do what they want, just luckily for them they have 3 or 4 restructure candidates.

But yeah, Reggie is basically walking a tightrope right now because they've won the past 2 FA periods. Nobody's benefit more from FA than they have in recent years, but now the time has just come for them to pay the guys who've attracted all the FAs and truly made them contenders in the 1st place. Carr's waiting until after FA for his extension, which is pretty cool since it could keep the numbers somewhat fluid at positions of need. I disagree w/you on the 3rd best team in the AFC West thing..you sort of reminded me of people panicking about the Diamondbacks after the Greinke signing there. This could be the deepest draft for defense in years, so they should need less rabbits out of the hat, gonna be hard not to get a few defensive talents this year. The OL signing that they made the other day, that guy actually played better than both Howard and Watson did last year and Reggie has experience w/the player, so I'm good w/that. Just basically gonna trust in Reggie. Aldon, on the other hand, is toast. Simple as that. RAIDER nation hardly knew him.

Cordarelle Patterson it is, slot receiver locked up and less Richard returning kickoffs, Carr gets another weapon
Wouldn't surprise me if Peterson joined Patterson at this point
