Anything is possible and bears monitoring for sure. Peeked at OKC schedule and they'll be in Vegas in July, thinking of going to see those guys. Vegas in July isn't appealing but it's about as close as us So Cal residents are going to get to see them live.

I live in Vegas, so i'll be going (actually the first week of august), work permitting and provided some relevant players are still with the team.

Alvarez joined Rancho today, first start TBA.

    Bellinger: 2/3, 2R, HR(3), 2RBI, BB and a K.

Call him up. Adrian saving a nice warm spot for him at 1st since his bum ass can't hit much anymore.

This guy should be brought up, and maybe sooner than later. I know "somebody" will have to go down but
if this guy continues to pound the ball.......it could/should be worth a look-see.

I want Adrian to strain a hammy so bad [no homo]

Who am I kidding...they'll put Utley and SVS at first base if that happens :barf:

I will always remember him as a member of the 2013 magic castle Dodgers and as a rock for our lineup for a few years. That walkoff against the Rays during the 42-8 run is the image in my head right now. But he's toast now for sure.

I won't be all that sad to see him go. He was never revered by his teammates as a leader despite his offensive pedigree. Old man Utley and crappy Ellis received more praise from teammates which is peculiar. His WBC hissy fit was pretty pathetic for a professional too.

All of this is trivial and means basically nothing. Chemistry for the most part is BS and whatever he lacks in leadership hasnt made any difference (4 straight division titles)...but my point is, if he isn't hitting and Bellinger is ready, just replace him. Because I don't think he'll be missed by anyone other than fans in the reserve level (racist).

if he had slugged well last year i'd say this was just a slow start
but last year his slugging and ops were the lowest of his career (>150 ab's)
and (albeit only 49 ab's) it's plummeted even further so far this season
meanwhile bellinger is absolutely raking in aaa

Strap Adrian to the same rocket they´re sending Puig to Milwaukee on.
    Get that done.

A-Gon will never be the power guy anymore which was inevitable but he started slow last year. Got real hot after he benched himself for 4 or 5 days I believe but there is no denying that Cody is really pushing for a call-up! Going to see Walker Buehler this Friday at Loan Mart vs the 66'ers, another impressive outing or 2 and he could be headed to Tulsa fast! Anyone else I should be watching Friday?

Apparently the team has tinkered with both Jackson and Diaz's swings. I'd be interested to hear how they look as the video I saw of Jackson was that of a dude with a long SLOOOOOW swing. Diaz looked good in what I saw.

Edit: I should not say tinkered when it comes to Jackson, actually. He completely rebuilt his swing.

Dodgers Digest made a good point yesterday that it is probably going to be a good while before we see Bellinger up unless something rather drastic happens. Seager was at 400+ PA's in AAA before the team brought him up and he was a much better hitting prospect than Bellinger is. Bellinger has surpassed 100 PA and is walloping the ball, but he is also striking out at a 30% clip. Teams exposed a weakness in ST and he has done a good job of fixing the issue, but he still is going to need time to work out the kinks and hopefully bring that K rate down another 5-10%.

    they certainly did
which is what led me to believe he still needed milb time
the k's aren't going to go away completely (a la joc)
but if he can reduce them, bueno
still think he's a ways away tbh

He is starting to shorten up his swing with two strikes and going the other way if he has to. That could be interesting if he takes the Rizzo approach as Bellinger was a contact hitter coming up, so changing to a more line drive approach with two strikes would likely allow for him to strike out less, but still make for some solid contact.

Here's what I don't get... Urias threw 93 pitches tonight (5.2 innings, 0 runs, 6 K's). I thought the whole reason for him to be on "extended spring training" is to save his arm for later in the season? He could be making 93 pitches for the Dodgers right now.

Another 3 scoreless innings for Buehler, too.

An 85/95-ish cap isn't really ideal for his success in the majors..the big boys will just sorta do what they did last year at times, foul'em off/take him deep into counts and he'll be at 90 by the 4th inning.
He did 79 and 73 in his 1st couple starts this year, could see him working with a 85/95-ish cap for a little bit, and then hopefully when he gets the call this time he'll be able to just go 110-120 if he needs to.
Could also see them letting him go 90+ this last time out because he was just looking better than he had in his 1st couple starts.
