Yeah, it is still weird that they would be willing to take on an extra year at $20M so there would have to be a lot of other things happening here. I am also not a fan of moving Bellinger off of 1B(which is what they should do if Braun is a Dodger). He's an elite glove at the position so moving him to the OF for 3 years is not my ideal situation.... though a lineup of Taylor, Seager, Turner, Bellinger, Braun, Grandal, Puig, Forsythe would be pretty solid.

Just gonna go ahead and say it.... the Orioles are really fucking stupid. What a horribly run organization.

That is what I am thinking probably happens or the Dodgers get Braun and immediately spin him somewhere else after he loses his 10-5 rights.

Have the suspicion that Bellinger could be an elite glove in the OF as well. Just the type of athlete he is.

Finally figured out where the Braun/Kemp stuff is coming from, i'd probably do it, acknowledging that their would likely be a sweeter in the form of prospects going with Kemp.

Braun's defense isn't as terrible as Kemp, and Braun might capable of a good offensive season like he had in '15 and '16.

Their GM doesn't even want to be there anymore, he'd be in Toronto if Angelos hadn't blocked him.
Showalter should be planning his escape

Trying to make up for the treatment of his poor grandma Eva?
I wonder if a bullet to the head qualifies her for the Me Too thing?

Kirk Gibson to throw ceremonial first pitch on opening day at Dodger Stadium
by Eric Stephen — True Blue LA — 20 hours ago

PHOENIX — Kirk Gibson will be back at Dodger Stadium to throw out a ceremonial first pitch on opening day, and will partner with the Dodgers for a good cause.

Gibson will throw out the first pitch before the Dodgers’ first game on Thursday, March 29 against the Giants in Los Angeles as part of a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the 1988 Dodgers, owners of the last World Series win for the franchise.

The Dodgers open the regular season with a four-game series against the Giants, with Thursday’s opener a 4:08 p.m. PT start televised exclusively by ESPN.

It will be a busy weekend for Gibson, who will be on hand for the second game of the season as well for his bobblehead night, just added to the Dodgers’ promotional schedule. In addition the Dodgers will partner with the Kirk Gibson Foundation to help raise money — through proceeds of the 50-50 raffle at Dodger Stadium plus an online auction — and awareness for Parkinson’s Disease, which Gibson was diagnosed with in 2015.

“We’re going to be able to help a lot of people through the money raised during Opening week,” said Gibson. “I’m honored to help kick off the Dodgers’ 60th anniversary celebration, and am looking forward to re-living many magical moments at Dodger Stadium on opening day and on my bobblehead night.”

Lol, I had a front office executive sitting in my living room last week. Talking analytics. Was such a great conversation....Amazing actually. I asked him some questions about the owner cock blocking trades and he laughs and says no comment.

What, he's moonlighting as a vacuum salesman? Did you buy it or did you stroke the guy (and then buy it)?
