If the Dodgers could acquire one player at the deadline, who would you prefer?

  1. Machado

    43.5%
  2. Front line starter (degrom, thor, et al)

    56.5%

Gloria Estefan, Andy Garcia and Ricky Ricardo find this post racially insensitive.

I stand corrected. Coulda sworn Olivera and Guerrero were Ned.

Would have been nice to have Abreu though.

Despite the twisted OCD ramblings of a certain FWucknut, Puig has been worth the $$$. Arruebarrena was jettisoned without pay, and Guerrero was bad, but Olivera was a complete and utter waste that has come back to haunt this year.

So to keep score, Ned is > the FUCKTARDS

Colletti signed Andruw, Schmidt, Pierre, Tomko, League, Brian Wilson, Chris Perez and a whole slew of other complete idiots like Marcus Thames. He also had us as the runner ups for Prince Fielder which would have been a disaster of epic proportion, one that we only avoided because the organization as a whole was so unappealing at the time. Arruebarrena was signed after the ownership transfer but while Ned was still the GM.

Ned did some great stuff - Kent, Lowe, Manny, Hanley - but in general he was incompetent. Current FO is and always will be a huge improvement.

    I was keeping it Cuban.

Which means I didn't mention McCarthy, Kazmir, Anderson and the rest of the FUCKTARD's moneypit signings....

Puig has been worth the money, but barely. We would have been just as well off without Puig and an extra $7 million/year for the payroll.

    No we wouldn't.
They tried replacing him and it did not work out.

Pray tell, how can the same ultimate results be a " huge improvement" over anyone previously? They've all got good signings, along with the abominable ones, and all losers personified, proven by reality and the mighty statistics.
What is it with these present guys...no one can believe they are pissing in the wind like the rest?
    The Teflon FO.
Look at the product they've put on the field...overlooking the lineup slumps, injuries, and the GREAT starters now, the bp alone is enough to indict them.
    Off with their heads!

I would say Puig earned his pay a long time ago. Yeah, he's been disappointing because he was a beast in 2013 and 2014...but he's still been a bargain. We got a Jason Heyward-type without paying 200 million.

At least guys like Tomko, purely fecal that he was, appeared on the mound for us.
These other guys you mentioned were AWOL most of the time.
It's useless...they love AF and Zarhan, no matter how much they stink up the place.
These overpriced, overated bullshit artists can do no wrong, you see...
Hey, Mussolini made the trains run on time...I'll tell my grandkids I was lucky enough to see the iconic Dodgers play...but most of all, that I'll cherish my good fortune that I witnessed the Under the Tax year...and you too, Darth.

The old guy who fucks up is a fuckup for sure. There is no hope.
The young guy who fucks up might be learning from his fuckups. There is hope.

I’m obviously not gonna dispute that the WS is the most important thing, but you can’t stick your head in the sand and ignore the obvious performance boost after Friedman’s arrival. The first pennant in 20 years qualifies as “the same ultimate result”? Since we didn’t win the WS, we might as well have just been the Padres all these years we’ve won the division? Is that really what you’re saying? All success is meaningless without a ring? Lol

I don’t know who around here has not subjected this FO to criticism, so “Teflon” doesn’t begin to apply. Better than the dunce who made a point of signing “ex-closers” and washed up all stars to lucrative deals whenever possible? Yeah, but not perfect, certainly not immune to criticism.

So you've created some kind of pecking order for the losers, to me. That's what they are.
This loser is far superior to that one.
    Talk about ostriching out...

Silly. Obviously it’s better, for everyone involved, including the fans, to win the division than be in last.

Maybe we can arrange that last place thing in 2018.
    We've got a shot.

Let's say we can't all win first place and be the USA.
What would you rather be Canada or be Venezuela?

Sure about that? Funny you mention the Padres, what about the lovable last place Padres from a few years back that had all those bandwagon fans? Lol

Nah, but you're making complete sense though, of course, it's better to win the division. As you alluded to, we're currently living what it's like to not have a division winning team, and with that said, who wasn't having a better time watching games last season?

And then obviously, how many managers/front offices would be fired every year if MLB was all or nothing? All except the WS winners, it seems. That all or nothing stuff sounds good and tough or whatever, but it's fake news

    What?
I don’t get the first line but the rest I agree with
