    Score was 4-2 when he was pulled and honestly I think he was pulled not just cause it was close but so he could leave with a somewhat good taste in his mouth. Yeah he could’ve left with a W if he goes one more inning, but I think it runs the risk that he could’ve blown the game and left miserable. After his first appearance he looked like he wanted to retire from baseball.

    Idk...with what Dave has thrown out there since the season has started, especially when we were wallowing in the dregs of baseball muck and mire, I still think he could have gone out there again, with a short choke chain on.
    Part of it for me, I was really rooting for the kid ( as he looks a lot like a rough and tumble Irish kid I knew 100 years ago), when he yanked him I was surprised and disappointed...and in his stead, I witnessed the glorious countenance of another Logan Forsythe K...always a heartwarming experience.
    I've seen Dave leave guys like Baez left in there when being bombed like London in the blitz.
    Your points are well taken though, and very valid.

    First two innings they were attacking early, hence the 14 pitches thru 2. Got squeezed a bit in the 3rd, and shoulda gotten out of it about 7ish pitches before he did, but Barnes made a crappy throw. Overall, not bad though he could be a bit sharper.
