If the Dodgers could acquire one player at the deadline, who would you prefer?

  1. Machado

    43.5%
  2. Front line starter (degrom, thor, et al)

    56.5%

bellinger still hasn't figured out how to hit/lay off that pitch on his back foot
and at times looks completely lost at the plate
imo should have sent him down a month ago -- for work and humility
but you would have to seriously consider dealing him if the return was thor and/or degrom imo

We will trade for him off waivers to shore up vs lefties.

Some guys can't handle great expectations. And with that said, Logie magically pulled his shit together in the playoffs and did some good things in the WS, so I suppose there's no exact science. He definitely didn't get it done as SD's 1st round draft pick though so...

Logan is playing every day, some players need that regularity.

Sure, it's obviously early in their careers, but again, this is a " what if " scenario. If at some point it just becomes clear that these two are destined to settle in at 1B, what is LAD gonna do, keep both? I mean, I like both and believe in both, so I'm not saying " trade these bitches, they suck! " And I too believe in the soph slump, it has happened to some.

But to go the other way with your take on Seager there..you mention his injuries and how they should halt any trade considerations from LAD's side. But what if, instead of believing he'll settle down health wise at some point, LAD becomes worried about all these surgeries and health related issues and he loses favor instead? Seager was dealing with some health related stuff right before he made the jump to the bigs as well..missed about a month or a little over a month with some illness and had lost a ton of weight. Not that we need to worry about that, but just saying..shit's piling up. Pretty sure Seager also had a back injury not too far back, I mean, gotdamn. Again, not that I want him outta here, but these health related issues are undeniable.

Last year I wanted LAD to try to get Hader back in return when Milwakuee was interested in Puig, but I guess Hader the hater is out. Lol Wouldn't mind taking Stras from DC, but obviously, that's a money issue with what he's making moving forward and then also, I wouldn't want to give a Seager or Belli to the Nats and have that come back to haunt right in our faces. But there is solid team control there, just expensive.

I hear what you are saying but a trade won't be happening until next year in the Mets case and Belli needs the time to figure it out. Only 23 and value is tepid at the moment as well. I have been advocating him being sent down the last month and that would be the best IMO.

So now we find out how much we'll miss Kenley!!! All the negative comments about our closer with so many saves, Out a month with irregular heartbeat is horrible news.

Bad news, feel for him. He's still choked though, multiple times. Missing him won't change that.
