    • “Every pitch, every out, every opportunity that’s out there, once you step on that field, it can be a big moment moving forward,” Machado told David Wilhelm of MLB.com. “This is why we love September baseball. It’s so much fun. We’re playing for something. We’ve got a tough road ahead of us. We’re just going to keep battling and enjoy every moment of it. We’ll see where it takes us.”
where it takes you, manny, is to free agency

Muncy would have to go 4-4 with 4 RBI every night to make up for his glove at 2B.

Only thing he knows about Sept baseball is that it's usually the last month he plays the game.

That said, that play he made last night was sick. What an arm. Of course that same arm botched that potential game ending DP, too.

Couldn't hardly stay in the room last night as Kenley decided to go Wild Thing.

Small comfort in that he didn't get hammered. The single to RF was a broken bat POS and the potential DP was off the end of the bat. If you really want a cringe worthy moment, check out the pitch to Adams. Center cut, belt high.....the kind he usually squares up against the Dodgers.

Good old 20-20 hindsight, but there's no way I let Kenley pitch to Adams. It worked out, but I would have had Alexander pitch to him.

Before Thursday’s game, Dave Roberts announced Alex Wood will be moved to the bullpen for the remainder of the season.
For Wood, he has come out of the bullpen in 37 of his career 166 games as a big-leaguer. He started the 2017 season in the bullpen, where he only made two appearances. This comes after one of Wood’s worst starts of the season. In his last outing, Wood allowed seven runs on eight hits in 3 2⁄3 innings versus the Reds. For Wood, he will be used in high-leverage situations, for roughly 1-2 innings at a time. Moving forward, Ross Stripling will be added back to the starting rotation. For the final month of the season, it appears that the Dodgers’ rotation will be Clayton Kershaw, Rich Hill, Ross Stripling, Hyun-Jin Ryu and Walker Buehler.
