Will also be a winner. Won't effect Minny's side. For Minny to get Covington and Saric, basically for Lavine, that works.

Ingram sucks. I don’t understand not trading him now while people are fooled that he might be good.

Ingram just turned 21 in September, is averaging 16ppg on 48%FG and 40% 3pt, and is trying to figure it out with LeBron. They're not about to hurry and trade that, so I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you

    1) I’m not a Laker fan I’m not gonna hold my breath because I don’t care.
    2) He’s shooting 35% from 3, his EFG% is 49 last year it was 50, his true shooting is 52% last year it was 53%. His Box +/- is negative again this year as if was last year.
    3) As evidenced, as of now not good at all. I don’t buy that he’s a 40% 3P shooter any time soon when he can’t hit FT’s. Of guys who took over 100 3’s last year and made em at a 40% clip, only Mike Scott and E’Twaun Moore made less percent of their FT’s than Ingram, and there’s crazy SSS noise there because they never get to the line.
    4) He probably still has value around the league. If you could’ve gotten Jimmy for him or Brad Beal, it’d be insane to pass up on actually good players in LeBron’s age 33 season to wait around and hope Ingram gets good. We see how well it’s working out waiting on guys to get to free agency so far when George stayed in OKC and now Jimmy is probably staying in Philly. But then again your GM is Magic Johnson.

    5) Ingram's 3pt% was 40 before last night's game. No, he doesn't shoot a ton of them, but he's still getting plenty of attention because they're featuring him offensively ( which we'll get back to momentarily) and he hits them a respectable amount of time when he decides to lettem fly. His free throw % right now is 70, which compared to the rest of this team's regulars isn't horrible. He needs to be better, but is it any worse than Hart's 71%? And Hart is several years older than Ingram, a better shooter, has played in big games. What's his excuse? They all need to pick it up.

    6) All of that aside, because I didn't post Ingram's numbers to say he's a shooter or that he's tearing it up. Just relative to others around the league in his talent class, he's been about league average and of course, that's as a 21yr old. I don't know if you're up on what this NBA season has been about, but it's definitely not defense. Not anywhere really, other than Toronto and Detroit. DBPM is taking a hit overall, so I'll worry about that if it keeps up later into the season. And Paul George has been atrocious this season..you think Magic should've traded Ingram to Indy for him? George is damaged goods, complaining about nerve damage in his leg, would've probably been Lakers/Steve Nash all over again.

    7) More to the point here..as you were peering over Ingram's numbers, did you take a look at his usage%? It's actually gone up, so you can see that they're still featuring him as expectations for the team have risen. A team with expectations featuring a kid that's barely legal. Sorry, but that also doesn't speak to sucking. Having just turned 21 years old, this is a huge ask..to go from doing 16ppg on a bad team, to 16ppg+ on a good team is what he's doing/looking to continue to do. But obviously, few are like Kobe, genius/ready to win at that age with a thirst to produce, so it ultimately may not work out for Ingram in LA....

    8) That said, Ingram is actually having a better season than the much hyped Jayson Tatum thus far..what I said about Ingram being about league average thus far among those in his class..at a extra young age..while trying to mesh with LeBron James. Dude, the majority of questions surrounding Ingram don't even have to do with his talent or his outlook as a player. Most feel he's talented and will be a good player, is already pretty solid. Most are just wondering about his fit with this particular cast moving forward. He may be the Oladipo type that will just need his own team eventually.

    9) Either way, that whole trade him ASAP stuff is out. The guys they'd even think about trading him for, they can't make that deal because other guys aren't eligible to be traded yet. They'd want to pair Ingram with KCP's salary or Rondo's salary and net a star. Not deal Ingram for some Otto Porter level blah. They couldn't even begin to think about making a Jimmy Butler trade or a Beal one right now either because of their hands being tied contract flexibility wise so you gotta relax, young Jimmy Buss. Lol Check back late January when KCP and others are finally trade eligible. Or not, since you don't care..which is weird because to my memory you've only posted in this thread a few times and so far mostly about Ingram/Kuzma sucking and one or the other needing to be traded ASAP. You do seem to care, but OK.

    10) Trading from this young core is going to be trickier than most think. There's the fact that Ingram can play PG to consider..there's the fact the Zo is one of the better defenders on the team to consider..now Hart is arguably the best shooter in the group..and Kuz is obviously explosive offensively and may have the most potential/unlocked Horry-like value alongside superstars. They all bring something to the table. And none of them, I repeat - none of them - suck. That's out too. Out like Mozgov and Deng thanks to the FO. Say whatever you like about the FO, but give them their cred as well. They've drafted well and done what they needed to do to start back down the path to contention.

I wholeheartedly disagree with you on Ingram and Kuzma. I wish you luck though I love LeBron so I hope they put some real talent around him ASAP.

Ah, so LeBron is your hook here..the guy with the worst +/- right now. Lol That's pretty good. What's the big stat right now? Lakers are +10 or 20 or whatever with LeBron off the court and -30 with LeBron on. Smh

Yeah, that's my #1 concern about this team. Not any " real talent " stuff, but how are they going to build around an older LeBron that doesn't bother on defense a good amount of the time? Defense is about effort and building habits, and obviously that flies in the face of what LeBron can offer on a nightly basis on that end. And I don't suspect it's going to get better as LeBron ages. So yeah, they may actually need to trade an Ingram and/or Kuzma for an Anthony Davis....to make up for LeBron's defense. The Lakers have an 83.7 rating defensively when Tyson Chandler is on the floor, so hopefully Chandler can continue to be a bandaid for a while.

One thing is certain..welcome to Laker Nation..where MFs get called out. So the LeBron stans out there are going to find it difficult to go blaming others around him if he himself isn't up to par in areas.

1: So you dont watch Laker games much then before LeBron arrived?
2: Who cares, you are lost in the numbers.
3: FT's You mean like LeBron?
4: Ingram will be the centerpiece of a trade for a player in the Anthony Davis category.
5: Ingram is too skinny right now to play forward. He is better at guard until he bulks up. Team needs to trade Rondo because unfortunately he is no longer the defender he once was. Ingram can get the backup PG minutes and do very well. In fact they should just bench Lonzo for Ingram.
