    Bye bye Goldy.

Said it before, say it again, probably don't have to do anything to win the West with relative ease.

LAD is in that 90's Braves groove.
They've become the Evander Holyfield of baseball. Can't beat Lewis or Bowe, but they're in the big dance all the damn time so they'll eventually get one

Spending 31 million a year on perennial choker Kershaw but using the excuse they don't have the money to spend for Harper, that does not sit well.

Imagine that, Kershaw is a/the primary reason we lose two WS and the reason we can't sign Harper.

Definitely, both. He just looks like a guy that's gonna be rejuvenated by being a Cardinal.
And watch..he'll power them to a World Series win.
The Cards will have shed Pujols ( who of course won a World Series there and still didn't get the Kershaw treatment/love from his team) and made it back to the mountain top before LAD. Smh

    • Eovaldi signing with the Red Sox.
    • Kikuchi expected to make a decision soon after after the winter meetings.
    • Reds area said to be the strongest pursuer of Dallas Keuchel at this time.
Pitching market is starting to get figured out. If more guys keep picking “not the Yankees or Phillies” it could raise the price on the Indians pitchers, which yeah not great.

Could this also open up possibilities for us to trade some our SP's to these that miss out on the FA's?

I'm not as good as CWG but the priority isn't a FA pitcher at all. Sure they'll look at pen help but imo it won't be a wow signing. I like the Indian rumors but the focus is on catching as it should be. Get us JT part duex!!!

Eovaldi back to the Sox is a good deal for them but we went through the ups and downs of Nathan. He could blow out his arm at any time and this board would go nuts that we committed 4 years. What are you're thoughts on Ottavino? No more Goldy for 19 games a year now that is already a good start on the off-season lol. CANNOT wait until the 9th and the opening of the meetings!

The deal I wanna see happen is Kluber or Carrasco for Stripling, Puig and Will Smith. I think that helps both teams and we add an ace for guys we probably squeeze out anyway

I have to think that deal includes Verdugo or it never gets anywhere close to done. The whole point in dealing a starter is for the Indians to get a controllable position player, specifically an OF.

Unrelated, but Dustin Nosler wrote a pretty good summary on what might happen if they should trade for Bauer/Kluber and/or sign Yusei Kikuchi.

Here is the link to the report that Nosler referenced:
