As much as the Julio to the pen thing gives us a powerful addition to the way we can approach games, I'd still rather see him in the rotation now, and Maeda to the pen. Maybe Maeda can work at his weaknesses there and then come back to the SR. We'll watch Kenta tonight.
Urias can absolutely go the 6 and 7 th, or 7 th and 8th and a solid bridge to the closer. Lots of options, and pitched well yesterday but had to go long, due to Verdugo 's rookie stupidity.
But a huge option now...Robots has a myriad of choices, on multiple levels offensively and defensively.
We'll see if he has the 'runway' he needs for a safe landing.
With Davey, sometimes it's as if it's a B-52 Stratofortress trying to touchdown on a soccer pitch.

maeda could throw a perfect game tonight and i'd still have zero faith in him
his stuff plays, but his pitch selection and (especially) locations are abhorrent
0-2 you expand the zone and never give a guy a pitch to hit
if it happens once, it's forgivable
but more than that it's a habit (or disorder)
just doesn't seem that sharp or savvy

so seager saying he’s getting more comfortable every game
comfortable probably isn't the best choice of words when you have just one hit in his last 13 pa's

You would be pretty comfortable too if you were performing like Juan Pierre but were treated by the media like you were prime Jeter

Yeah, the 1 for 13 is not good, but at least it was an important "1". Dodgers are 4-0 during those 13 PA's, and likely would've been 3-1 without his one hit. So I'll give him a little leeway this time if he truly is getting more comfortable.

Hate when a series has multiple LHP and our second best hitter can’t play

Credit where it’s due that they play Verdugo as much as they do though. A Joc/Pollock platoon at a certain point seems inevitable.

Yeah, I hope some of these other dudes start warm up, because it's impossible for Cody to keep up this insane pace. Somebody's got to take up the slack that's in there every day. Pederson is platoon, as is Verdugo and Kike and the catching combo are basically, too. That leaves Turner, who may be emerging from his cocoon, Pollock, who imo, really is a flat out bust so far, and the aforementioned Seagar to step up. And Max, a mystery somewhat.
It's early, and so far, things are pretty good.
The performances against the Cards and Cubs are troublesome. Very. Y'know...the good teams thing.
And tbh, the rest of the NLW may be a lot more trying than we thought.
So far, my strongest confidence lies with Cody, almost exclusively.
Need some more joining in the mix at a steadier pace.

Potentially unpopular opinion: If Maeda continues to be garbage, he may have to live with the consequences of signing an incentive-laden deal. You can make a legit case that he is their 7th best starter, and it seems like they feel obligated to let him start for the majority of the season, because until now he's been largely average or better, but if he's not, what do they do?

Just so annoying watching Maeda for me. I guess it's because I know there are multiple options superior to him.
    Bellinger is just something else...

    Why would that be unpopular?

I mean, big union guys on Dodgers Digest might throw a fit, but who gives a shit

Garbage is a little strong bu your other points aren't far fetched. Fastball command isn't there but not every pitcher on a staff has to be lights out at all times. Slow start no doubt but still early.
