You and I both know that is effectively a ban. Cap has dignity. He will not reregister and profess that he is reformed in order to be accepted back. If he is only welcome if he comes back neutered, then he is as good as gone.

I don’t recall reading a post where I felt Cap blatantly crossed a line. I mean, as a daily reader of DSP for over 10 years, I have been conditioned to believe there is no such thing as “crossing the line.” And that’s what makes DSP so special. You are allowed an outlet to speak your mind without any repercussion. If that is no longer the case, then what made this site special no longer applies.
    Yes.

Both of my siblings moved to San Antonio. Don't go. It's becoming California-lite.

I'll probably be here for a while. Almost moved a couple times in the past for career opportunities but I decided to go down a different path. One of those jobs was a 3 year contract that would be ending this year. Sometimes I wish I went ahead and gave it a shot just to experience something else. Get a taste and see if I could permanently ditch this hell hole. I don't have any regrets, though.

Saving up $200-300,000 for a down payment on a house isn't all that appealing, either.

Denver is great city, but it's California with snow.
On the plus side, not every beer at every brewery is an IPA.

    Colorado Springs is nice too

And Colorado has a similar problem to Illinois:. About half the states population is in the Denver metro area, so they control the politics of the state.

They do shitty things like pass water consumption taxes that screw rural farmers, then exempt themselves from the tax.

We have an office in Centennial. It's a nice area. Very suburban, if that's your thing.

CA has moved a little too close for comfort to being in non compliance with the Feds.
Trump is getting smacked around with the whole Venezuela thing.
    That's all fake news.
The reality is that Russia holds too much influence in south america and Trump wants to curb that.
But he cant short of military action. Which is what his generals want.
If Trump loses down south he may decide to take it out on CA.
Southcom has been massing up which means that the next series of wars will be in our hemisphere and close to our continent.
Brazilian president is moving towards stronger ties to Russia and China who are about to reinvigorate the old BRIC system with Iran.
Things are coalescing together to create 2 strong world factions.

    1. The petrodollar and who controls it. Right now its the US that controls Saudi oil that backs our dollar which is the global standard for trade.
Russia sells its oil cheaper and is therefore the competitor to the Saudis who have better more expensive oil but oil whose tap will eventually run out. Russia will never run out of its cheap shale so the Saudis are about to make a deal with them for their long term prospects. This is a big part of why we are in Venezuela.

    2. US Liberalism and how its viewed across the world. Folks in more socially conservative latin american countries and muslim or african countries see how the US has become a haven for things like the church of Satan, sexual depravity like sex changes for boys who had been raised as drag queens paraded in front of men at gay nightclubs, and old men who think they are little girls and boys being given the right by the courts to enter enclosed bathrooms with real little girls and boys and hang out.

These two things plus a third thing that is hard to talk about are the 3 main reasons why there is a war brewing.
Where each of us fall on those 3 things will determine what side you will be on in the war.
To make it a little clearer.
The war is coming to Venezuela.
A small part of the military was induced into backing the guy who was worked up into declaring himself the new president of the state.
That military group was given a map and told to meet up with the civilian militia and the foreign forces that were backing the new president. There they would receive new uniforms, food for their families and safe passage for them, and a few thousand dollars each as hero pay or something.
They took the maps and headed to the jungle border with colombia.
They waited and nobody showed up.
The colombians were supposed to greet them as allies and help them but instead the colombian military looked down on them as deserters of weak faith.
Nobody is helping them in colombia and the new venezuelan president and his people have forgotten them.
They can't go back home as they are deserters at best but most likely viewed as traitors.
No country promised them asylum and colombia does not want them there.
Guaido is losing his support and most countries have backed off.
The US will have to go in and take out Maduro.
I don't think that will happen anymore now that Trump had to call Putin due to the little escalation between Pompeo and his equivalent in Moscow.

    Not even.
That isn't crossing the line. That is cowardly inching to the edge of the line and not stepping on it.
In other words he knew he would not get banned for any of that.
    That's just general douchebaggery.
    We forgive that shit daily.
Yes its douchey behaviour but it does not cement YOU as A douchebag.
What cemented him as a douchebag is when he crossed the line.
He was so far off base sorta like a white guy around suburban black guys that allow him to be a wigger and say nigger in their midst then one day he goes to a more urban part of town to play some basketball and gets pissed off at a black guy dunking on him and putting nuts on his chin and says 'yo nigger get off me'... that wigger just crossed the line so badly because he had no idea where the line was.
He was numbed into thinking he was another gorilla in the mist when he was just jane goodall in the midst.

I actually don't think he crossed the line either.

He was abrasive, would attack people then play the victim when they attacked back. But still not the line.

My line is in a different place I guess.
