Had an Akita when I was a teenager. Protected the family, guarded the house, and watched over my younger brother like he was her child. Greatest dog I ever owned, BUT she had a mean streak when it came to other animals. Not sure if both dogs are Akita's, but in my case it didn't matter. Other dogs, cats, or whatever, she would attack anytime they came near our property or any person in our family. Going to be a tough choice, but keeping both is a tragedy waiting to happen. Your wife is very lucky it wasn't worse than what you described considering these dogs were bred to hunt bear. Good luck...

Why does Tiger Woods deserve the Model of Freedom award from Trump at the White House. Big fucking deal...he won a golf tournament. I'm not saying the Masters is chopped liver as sports goes, but isn't this stretching it a bit...just a bit. I admit,I don't give a fuck about Woods or golf ( I'm a Carlinist as that goes), but shouldn't it be reserved for a selfless deed or bravery to community instead of an additional sports glory, really ? Fuck Trump on this dilution oft true, meaningful civilian accomplishment. Fuck Woods, too.

Heartwarming ceremony just concluded...hero Tiger Woods and eternally grateful president Trump bestows America's highest civilian award for winning a sports event. And lots of money. Seen in the audience were policeman and fireman, decorated for bravery during performance of their duties, risking life and limb. But not the Medal of Freedom at the White House, of course. Yup.
Would love to golf with both of them. But the award/medal has become a joke. If they want to make a different award for athletes and pop culture, go for it. But Ellen DeGeneres, Tom Hanks, Tiger Woods, etc. do not deserve the "highest civilian honor". Edit: I just watched the replay though, and had a difficult time not enjoying it. Just love Tiger.
I don't venture into this thread often as much of it is music chat and I'm not into it, but I just read about @LAdiablo 's dog situation. Really sorry to hear about that. I dont know much about dogs or how to 'properly' care for specific breeds, but I hope you, your wife and dogs have recovered and you didnt beat yourself up too hard
ty yes she's healing and i get to drive her to Burbank everyday for a while have taken every precaution possible to make sure they don't get at each other again but i can already see peoples guard coming down no choice but to take full responsibility for the situation though too much information on specific breeds and what you should know having raised some big animals i wasn't worried that i could handle them but akitas are just different no excuse for not reading up and protecting the animals
The award is a joke... But tiger has done a lot of good through his foundation. Thousands of scholarships for kids in STEM.
OK. I'll agree with that. Then make it for that. Not winning a golf tournament. Should barely be mentioned then. I'll admit, I don't two shits about Tiger Woods, never will, not in this life anyway. Got more respect for his soldier old man. But he didn't give himself the award...it's really on duflus Trump. But there's so many that deserve recognition before a professional golfer. That's just me.
