Reminds me of the old adage "you can beat their prices, but you can't beat their meat."

Heartwarming ceremony just concluded...hero Tiger Woods and eternally grateful president Trump bestows America's highest civilian award for winning a sports event. And lots of money.
Seen in the audience were policeman and fireman, decorated for bravery during performance of their duties, risking life and limb. But not the Medal of Freedom at the White House, of course.
    Yup.

Would love to golf with both of them.
But the award/medal has become a joke.
If they want to make a different award for athletes and pop culture, go for it.
But Ellen DeGeneres, Tom Hanks, Tiger Woods, etc. do not deserve the "highest civilian honor".

Edit: I just watched the replay though, and had a difficult time not enjoying it. Just love Tiger.

I don't venture into this thread often as much of it is music chat and I'm not into it, but I just read about @LAdiablo 's dog situation. Really sorry to hear about that. I dont know much about dogs or how to 'properly' care for specific breeds, but I hope you, your wife and dogs have recovered and you didnt beat yourself up too hard

ty yes she's healing and i get to drive her to Burbank everyday for a while
have taken every precaution possible to make sure they don't get at each other again but i can already see peoples guard coming down
no choice but to take full responsibility for the situation though
too much information on specific breeds and what you should know
having raised some big animals i wasn't worried that i could handle them but akitas are just different
no excuse for not reading up and protecting the animals

    The award is a joke...
But tiger has done a lot of good through his foundation. Thousands of scholarships for kids in STEM.

OK. I'll agree with that. Then make it for that.
Not winning a golf tournament. Should barely be mentioned then.
I'll admit, I don't two shits about Tiger Woods, never will, not in this life anyway. Got more respect for his soldier old man.
But he didn't give himself the award...it's really on duflus Trump.
But there's so many that deserve recognition before a professional golfer.
    That's just me.

    Looked up the award.

Apparently they are awarded from time to time for sports (I'd assumed tiger's was for philanthropy, or for being a friend of Trump).

Kareem and Vin Scully have the award too.

Way more than people knew, they say. She wasn't the innocent type she played, and had a banging body.

She was a closet turn on for me.
In my primordial day, everyone talked about Raquel and Sophia, the obvious johnson growers which made my generation 's males salivate, etc.
I had read that Day was filmed through a gauze on her close ups, because she was loaded with freckles. There seems to have been some truth to that if you pay attention.
I certainly liked Welch and Loren, no doubt, and they played the sexpot part to the hilt.
Bit Doris was understated and the thought of those bodacious tatas ( every bit as sweater worthy as the other two), covered with freckles was the ultra turn on, imo.
Loren eventually became a good actress, but Day was very talented from the get go.
