the longer it takes the less it sounds like they know what to do with it
if they were arguing and he puts his hands on her trying to restrain her thats THEIR business
what if she was threatening to jump from the parking structure
all this holier than thou shit needs to stop
life and relationships aren't perfect and people yell at each other and try to make each other crazy
he had a bad moment like we all have most likely and all the sanctimony i'm hearing from people is boorish
god forbid people point fingers at the finger pointers

Article out of the Athletic this morning has there being a little bit of tension between the catchers and coaching staff towards Kenley Jansen. Jansen’s insisting on calling his own pitches against the scouting report and he’s getting hammered from it. He’s refusing to bend and Roberts even cites his stubborn attitude in the piece while not actually calling out Kenley(just describing him).

There is a serious problem brewing with Jansen, IMO. He’s refusing to to even consider relinquishing the closers role if say the team were to sign Kimbrel, even while he is struggling and coming off of back to back postseason failures. He’s living in the middle of the zone again (something he was doing a lot last season), but now it is worse than ever as not only is his Velo down, the cut on his pitches isn’t there the way it used to be. The Dodgers bullpen is shaky as Baez is the only reliable piece and that’s terrifying to say. If the team does not address this big time at the deadline, we’re staring at more postseason failure.

I'm sure the player's association will challenge it if a suspension is handed down.

There is absolutely no shred of proof to believe he did anything wrong.
Sometimes you have to grab the woman you love by the pussy in order to save her life.
She may be mad crazy at the moment and not fully in control of her faculties.
As happens frequently to women who know they have a man who loves them and can take care of them when they get crazy.
Are you gonna let the woman you love who is out of her mind angry run into oncoming traffic because you are afraid how it will look if you have to grab her and take her to the ground to save her life?
    You deal with it.
You let the cop arrest you.
You explain yourself and fight the case.
And if you go to jail because the law is broken and the judge feels like all accused of shit like this need to be found guilty because of cultural trends... then you go to fucking jail.
    Like a man.

Or you can be a pussy and let your loved one run into traffic because you want to protect your career or your image or your self.

Hopefully the Larry Baer incident is the comp we are looking at when the smoke settles. He was spazzy, and dumb to do what he did in public - but a far cry from a wife-beater.

I was so pissed when they re-signed Kenley. This shit is not new. There are some who piped up to defend the report that Kenley was pissed about LAD's Aroldis chase, but that kind of shit doesn't just come out of nowhere for no reason. Kenley is a jackass

    Kenley is a cancer.
Ruiz- plus for that lefty on the Pirates
    Sign Kimbrel

Cut this fat ass if he continues to be a bitch.

Couldn't handle it when he was moved from catcher
Couldn't handle it when Chapman was rumored to be coming here
Still has an archaic mindset of what a "closer" is
    Refuses to evolve
Even when he was great, he choked when it mattered most.

Sad thing is, the David Vasseh AM 570 propaganda machine will yell at any caller who suggests Kenley isnt fit to be a relief ace on a WS team.

A big fuck you to all the fans (s/o Dusty Nosler) saying to release him 5 minutes after the story broke with basically zero account of what happened.

And Puig was the dumb asshole on the team. Seems there was more than one.
And it's not a scoop by the Athletic either...Orel Hershiser, the boring, inane old man, said it on last night's broadcast, bigger than shit, for all to hear. Used the word "ego", too, describing Kenley's shakeoffs.
Guess it's merely only drivel until someone else backs it up.
Appears to me, publically, the guy has got big balls and calls things they way they are, even regarding other matters.
I don't know what you do about a guy like Jansen behaving like this...pretty sure the manager has to nip it in the bud real quick.

This is not a joke, but this year generally once the bullpen is in, I turn the game off and watch on game day. For some reason, over the last 6 months I’ve developed anxiety issues and watching this pen operate before bed caused me to get worked up, so I decided to try other means to see if it works(this isn’t a whole lot better). I will admit that me being a bit more disengaged has helped somewhat, but I still cut in often before noping back out. With all that said, that means I missed Orel’s remarks. Glad he did say something about it. I know a lot of people complain about our broadcast crew, but I’m very fond of both Joe and Orel. Compared to others around the league, I think they’re a solid duo.

And Orel is a holder of a record that, imo, will never be broken. And a Dodger when he did it.

Davis and Orel are annoying, imo.
But of course Orel is not stupid.
I get your point. We should not need The Athletic to validate what knowledgeable ex players have already passed along.

    Re Kenley:

To anyone who was watching the game, while Kenley was shaking Russ off, you may have noticed the shot of Dave in the dugout mouthing "God Damn it" and then saying how "There needs to be more conversations with Kenley about being on the same page".

I hate to say it but to be fair, in Kenley's defense, that tells me was flat out ignoring the FUCKTARDS ANALytics and being his own man, throwing what he wanted rather than what they told him to throw. In the end I'm glad it worked out but it could have led to some drama we'd never read about if he would have repeated what had happened in Dan Diego and lost that game to the same guy after the bunt had occurred. Kenley > FUCKTARDS last night and maybe (hopefully) AF and learned that real life should be interjected into games rather than relying 100% on their fucking computer.... Betcha if they'd have figured that out a couple years ago we'd have been to a parade or two?

Kenley earned an uptick for manning up in my eyes right there.

Ferguson activated. Matt Beaty and Kyle Garlick up from OKC. (Pollock to 60 day DL?)

Maeda to the IL. (hopefully just rest?) Chargois and Gale to OKC.

Any scout report on Garlick? Seems like a decent bench bat ala Beaty with not much other value.

Think Maeda got banged up yesterday after fouling the ball off his leg

Yeah, maybe. If that’s the case it’s probably just pre cautionary.
