Another turn through the order. Time for Joc or Max to leave Arizona on a high note

I guess Joc is going to go into one of his Grandal slumps. Tooo bad. I was having fun. It all started with Dave forcing him in against Robbie Ray.

It's time to stop with Chris Taylor. He was a fluke. Some of his rate stats last season implied that he could still potentially be a decent player, but he has completely face planted now.

Doesn't get any worse then Scott Alexander and his fake decent ERA.

Under no circumstance can we have a roster where Alexander is even a candidate to make the postseason squad

Well at least Alexander didn't make us suffer for long. Still should've won but a dumb ass bounce on Dyson's "single" in the eighth got them even and cost us the game.

With perennial thorns in the side Giants and Angels, we could be 43-25 in a blink of an eye. I hate those teams.

Two more examples of Davey brilliance. First, why pull Kenta after 70 pitches (I didn't watch the game, so I'll concede that there could've been a legit reason)? Second, he puts too much confidence in Alexander for the lefty-lefty matchup. Intentionally walking a guy to face Peralta... WTF was that?!? I would've put money on him driving in the winner. At that point Roberts should've walked him too and taking his chances with a force at every base. Or don't walk the #3 hitter in the first place just to face the cleanup guy.

I would have liked to seen both Maeda and Urias pitch another inning each.

Pulling Maeda might have the dreaded "can't have him go through the order three times" nerd edict. Urias blew through two innings with ease. No reason he couldn't have gone another.

Then again, this analysis might not have been necessary had they scored more than two runs.

I feel it was a classic case of of micromanaging, indeed...but it's gotten us this far this year, so in spite of Robots silly quirks, we have flown with this format so far.
The lineup was a flaccid, gelatinous blob of utter frustration, producing minimal results. It happens.
Addionally, I think it was a mirror of what could very well happen in the post season, at any point of it, when the best of opponents pitching, which we'll absolutely see, coupled with our very shaky, poor bp ( no guarantee they will improve at all ), similar results to last night's, are a distinct possibility.
We simply have a team make up which without a high scoring, juggernaut offense in effect, we are extremely vulnerable in close or tie games.Way more often than not.
Forewarned is forearmed, but opportunities that are possibilities correcting this huge weakness must be taken.
Post season is a relentless proving ground for exposing weaknesses.
Tbh, what would our record be with a good bp?
