Apparently the Dodgers were one of the main pursuers for Kimbrel. He was only interested in closing though, so he was not willing to sign with the club. God fucking dammit

I hope he suffers a career ending injury.
No F.O. pays a reliever based on which inning he throws or how many saves he accumulates.
All he cares about is counting stats to get into the HoF.
That's his choice that he earned the right to make, but screw him.
Just another reliever that didn't want to play here.

    Or Aids...

Of note, I noticed part of the X on coreys face is removed. Assume as he heats up it will go away bit by bit then?

Good riddance, if you ask me.

There's a lot to not like about Kimbrel in this whole situation, demands to be given a specific role on the team is just icing on the cake. It's his prerogative to demand that, but it's not a positive attitude to bring into the clubhouse. I didn't want him before and now I'm even more glad we didn't sign him.

Well...I guess we can go with the top flight guys we've got already.
    No sweat.
It's a lock with the likes of Kelly, Alexander, Floro, etc.

    Didn't mind Kelly, until now.

Pollock was the head scratcher. We could have had Verdugo in this role the whole time. Now we have to worry how the team handles the lineup once he gets back.

Pollock and kelly wanted to be dodgers.
They did not demand to be stars.
    Kimbrel is another merc.

Funny how we didn't need or cleverly didn't sign either of these two upper echelon pitchers, how either, or each at different times, may contribute heavily to defeat for us by their hands. Sort of like that pos Kellly in the WS.
Entirely possible we will have to go through both the Cubs and/or Braves in the post. Indeed.
If we get there of course.

As we all say when trades are discussed a spec is only a spec so there was no guarantee that Alex would have this success so I'm not angry per se. Obviously having Pollock out doesn't help but let's see what happens when he comes back. I personally don't believe Joc will maintain this good play so I expect to see Alex get as much playing time as humanly possible, we'll see, Kelly is the head scratcher for me.

    • “I think [the offense is] a different animal than last year,” Muncy said. “Last year, we relied pretty heavily on the home run, and this year, we’re able to produce runs in a different manner. And that’s making us a more complete team and a more dangerous team.”
have to wonder if this was before, during or after his 7 consecutive k's...
