One of his former managers/agents is a close friend of the family. When he found out Mondesi had surpassed Brett Butler as my favorite player, he brought me to his house (I was a little kid at the time) and showed me his EXTENSIVE autograph collection. He finished it by showing me the pathetic scribble Raul had done for his son and then he handed me a Brett Butler signed ball, personalized just for me. He explained to me that more things mattered than what the guy does on the field and that for reasons beyond what he could explain, Mondesi was not a good guy and I should pick a better role model. It definitely worked and it never surprise’s me to hear how big of a piece of shit Mondesi is/was.

Dodgers need both of them. Or at least one of them, paired with an elite RHP.
Getting one bullpen arm isn't getting it done. Need 2 ELITE

The reason so much focus, concern, and anger surrounds Corey, for me, is because of how good he is and how aggravating it is to see him sustain so many injuries.
It feels like 2018 and potentially this year are going to be a waste of our best, most pure hitter and a HOF talent.
Look at his #s 2015-2017 and what he was poised to do when he found his rhythm this month. If he does that for 7-10 years, he's in the HOF category.
I'd take him over any SS in baseball. But the injuries are derailing his carer way too early.

When he struggles or gets injured, we are invested in it because of who he is. Yeah, we talk shit on crap players like Taylor and Barnes, but we really have no hope or expectation for them like we do for superstars like Corey.
I think we all want to see Corey out together a 7 year stretch like Clayton did as a pitcher.

No news yet. Hopefully it isn't as bad as we thought. If he is on the no surgery, 4-6 week timetable, that'd be 'good' news. We don't need him out for 2+ months and then come back struggling to find his groove again.

I care about Seager being healthy and hitting well in the playoffs.
If he rides pine every year early instead of late and is hitting his stride come the WS i could care less if his all time numbers take a hit.
I don't care bout Corey Seagers HoF votes or final stats tally or how many years he was dominant once he retires...
We arent collecting baseball cards here.

Padres score SIX in the 9th to tie the score against the Rox, no thanks to Josh Naylor who strikes out twice in that inning.
