Watching the game at work. The guy who sits next to me is a huge Padres fan... he just put his head down on his desk for 2 minutes after Martin's ball snuck through the infield. Feels good.

    Taco Bell has desks?

But seriously, why does he care? They're in dead last regardless.

Yeah, he's not ready. Completely overmatched in that AB. Swung at two pitches nowhere near the zone and watched the only true strike.

The three toughest outs in baseball are the bottom of the ninth at Dodger Stadium

Another closer looked incredibly uncomfortable when a runner got on 2nd. Couldn’t get together with his catcher, started pulling the ball and just generally didn’t look right. Guessing we’re gonna hear all about the Dodgers stealing signs even though Rios and Martin looked clueless up there.

to fix Seager you show him a young Lux and ask him if he thinks he can keep up
if he can't then Seager gets a steady diet of steaks and starts working on more strength for health and power
then you move him to 3B/LF to save his body from the rigors of middle infield as he takes over for the aging JT who splits time at 1B to save his knees.

SS: Lux (Taylor/Negron/Kike/Gyorko provide plenty of depth/defense/running)
2B: Muncy (same as above applies since these 4 SS are super utility)
1B: Turner (Bellinger/Freese/Muncy/Beaty get Turners days off)
CF: Bellinger (Pollock should have first dibs as the 4th OF)
3B: Seager (vs lefties Turner or Muncy can get come in and provide offensive)
LF: Joc (Pollock if Bellinger is in the game, if not Seager or one of the super utility guys.
RF: Verdugo (we get to see what that arm is worth)
C : Smith (hopefully Ruiz can make Martin and Barnes obsolete sooner rather than later)

Taylor, Negron, Kike, Gyorko, Beaty, Freese, Pollock, Ruiz/Barnes/Martin make a pretty good bench pool going into the playoffs.

Kolarek has faced 4 batters so far, all lefties.

    1 ground out
    2 singles
    1 BB

Isn't he supposed to be money vs LHBs?

Hilariously dumb win. But good to see May pitched well. For whatever reason our incredible front office decided our season rests on the arms of he Gonsolin and Urias so let’s hope it works out!
