I agree with that but to the point, they weren’t the best team the year they won. Now everyone gloats how great they are. We all know that’s why they play the games but I’ll still take being in the best division possible and playing the best teams possible. It’s why I like (and mentioned) the braves earlier. My heart likes the Yankees and they indeed are good but our division is mixed

5 runs the whole series. Pathetic.
Atlanta fans had it better with Turner in the 90's

Got some great tix for free and after the first pitch to Joc the stadium rocked like I haven't heard during a regular season game ever.

    That's the good news.

Bad news was another pathetic effort by the Dodger lineup and the sounds of "let's go Yankees" echoing in my skull.

Lol So Judge actually promised a fan a HR before the game and then took Kersh and his curve on a ride.
Kersh will NEVER be Koufax. Every time he passes one of Koufax's career marks he should apologize.

    Happy National Dog Day.
With all the haters, it's good to hug your pooch and know that feeling you get when you do will never go away.

Add Mike Ford to the list of fat fuck 1Bs (Matt Stairs and Matt Adams) who have tormented our team through the years. Only shocker was that Ford's first name wasn't Matt.

    A.k.a the real Bellinger.
    The 2017-18 version.
I dont think that is out of line to say, honestly. There is a larger sample size of him being .260/.345/.550 than there is of him being on Mike Trout, Christian Yelich levels offensively.
No shame in his real game. That offensive line with epic defense is a perennial all star.
But if he is our best, most relied upon hitter...we are screwed. We need a pure, consistent hitter to rely on in the post.
Bellinger looked like he became a pure hitter earlier in the year with his approach and ability to make hard contact to all fields. But he has reverted to his old form as a power hitter who gets owned regularly by good scouting.

I included BAbip because both of those numbers are extreme. His career BAbip number is right around .300, which would put his natural line this season around .300/.400/.650 (which is exactly where his numbers are on the full season). I know it's tempting to be pessimistic, but I think a perennial MVP-conversation-player is what we actually have.

I don't think this slide back to reality is a product solely of bad babip luck that just needs to be neutralized.
I'm afraid to look at the numbers but I'm guessing there is a huge spike in Oswing%, a huge decline in line drive%, and a lopsided spray chart to the right side.

I gets what he's saying though....they share a division with the Nats, Phillies, and Mets.

Nats are almost a lock to be in the WC game and the Mets/Phillies are close for the 2nd spot.

We play in a division with Triple A teams.

If we switched divsions with ATL, I am sure they'd have a better record than us.

Eh, I’m not so sure how true that is. The marlins are by far the worst team in the NL, and the Giants/DBacks were pretty close to the Nats/Phillies/Mets until last couple of weeks. We’ve made the Phillies/Nats/Mets look bad. The Padres/Rockies are bad but they have actual talent and they were trying this year. I think the NL east is stronger than west but don’t think it’s this massive gap by any means
