Newton is so done. Almost every pass he threw was shitty, not even just the deep ball. Back to back home losses to open the season. Play like shit week after week and then this in the post game presser..
He's gonna quit. I can smell it. Only question for me is are the Panthers going to move on from him before he quits He's the Dwight Howard of the NFL. Didn't polish his game early on in his career and now, when he needs more of an anticipatory type of passing style, it's not there. Never was. Even went to the championship and lost like Dwight. Downhill ever since
Minkah Fitzpatrick on the trade block. Would love if the Raiders found a way to swing a deal for him without giving up too much. He was the guy I wanted the most in the draft last year.
His career is mirroring the career of a RB. Looks beat up and worn down at the age of 30. Take away Cam's athleticism and you have a mediocre QB. Not even sure what to say about his outfits and hair....he looks like a bootleg version of the Weeknd. At least the Panthers drafted Will Grier.
Ayyyye..we need a safety w/Abram now out for the year. Can we take advantage of the umpteenth Miami firesale? Cameron Wolfe@CameronWolfe Dolphins have given 2018 1st round pick Minkah Fitzpatrick permission to seek a trade, but they are not actively shopping him. They want a significant return to trade him. Fitzpatrick has been unhappy with his role with defense for months. Story with @mortreport coming shortly Barry Jackson@flasportsbuzz Minkah Fitzpatrick told me this week he spoke to Dolphins about his role. And they reiterated it would change every single week, he said. Who would want that?
Their new owner has an easy decision ahead of him..well, Newton is making it an easy one, that is. Newton either retires, or moves to Vegas to backup Carr and be the new Peterman for Chucky
When they add AB, and then add Burfict and you think, " oh no..not Burfict! " But then Burfict solidifies himself as one of the captains on the team and AB is the one that goes nuclear. This game is crazy. Never thought I'd see Newton go down this fast. Oh and for the Newton/Dwight Howard comparison I made..add this. Both guys hijacked the Superman theme.
Austin Gayle@PFF_AustinGayle Minkah Fitzpatrick's slot coverage grades, both in college and the NFL, are some of the highest @PFF has ever seen. Don't play him at safety; play him at slot corner, a position growing in value in today's NFL. Oh, and trade for him. He's #good. May be an issue since they just paid Joyner to be the slot guy, but 6 DBs are becoming more of a thing so we'll see. Trade both of next year's 3rd rounders for Fitz? I would in a heartbeat, especially since this is likely Joseph's last year with the team. Then potentially pick up a 3rd rounder when Joseph signs elsewhere in FA. Chucky/Guenther/Mayock have to be in on this. They might even be willing to trade that Bears' pick, my guess given his high character being perfect for Vegas Miami is supposed to be asking for a 2nd, reportedly. RAIDERS currently have no 2nd in 2020, but those 3rds could be flipped for a 2nd down the road, so they should hold some value
Cam looks like he just doesn't want to play anymore. The moment the weird outfits happen, you know the end is near.
Cowboys and Steelers are after Minkah Fitzpatrick. Steelers need him in the worst way, their secondary has been trash since Polamalu retired Polamalu better be a lock for the Hall of Fame in 2020
Okay, odd question. The new Los Angeles Stadium for the Rams and Chargers is an open air plastic roofed stadium with artificial turf. Allegiant Stadium for the Raiders will be a domed stadium with natural grass. Granted Las Vegas is a lot hotter than LA so a domed stadium makes sense, but it will be a domed stadium with grass. Why was the choice to make LA Stadium open air but with turf? It’s kind of a flip of the usual formula. Why not grass too. It’s an open air stadium after all. LA also gets pretty hot, so why not a dome with air conditioning. The website also says they hope to host possible soccer and World Cup matches. But on turf? That’s a non-starter isn’t it?
KC - 34 RAIDERS - 30 Similar to last year's 40-33 game. Wouldn't have it being close if Kolton Miller, Trent Brown and Rodney Hudson didn't look so dominant on MNF. Gotta run the ball and have solid time of possession for it to be a game late. If Chucky's play calling is A1 like it was last week, maybe the RAIDERS lose by 1. Lol Surprise me
Well, we know construction cost of the Rams'/Chargers' stadium is around $5B, compared to construction cost of the RAIDERS' stadium landing @ $2B. So with field upkeep being expensive in SoCal, maybe nixing natural grass is Kroenke's way of cutting back a bit? Not sure if the water/upkeep will be cheaper in Vegas, but the field will be on a tray that can be moved outside whenever it rains and I'd guess they can save a little that way. But yeah, it's a domed stadium with outdoor features from head ( glass roof) to toe ( natural grass). And of course, the sliding glass doors on the side. Trying to offer a little bit of everything..except parking. Lol They've got to figure that out..knew it would be a challenge from the time they closed on the Russell Rd. site
the Las Vegas stadium has the natural grass field on a tray that slides out from under the roof and into the parking lot for water and sun. The LA stadium, because of FAA regulations, is built into a 100 foot hole in the ground and can't do that.
Thanks for the explanation. Then why make it open air? Why not just dome it then and add climate control? Still confused by that.
I think the transparent canopy is a perfect option, tbh. You can host traditionally "indoor" events and protect yourself from the elements without sacrificing the clear blue skies and ocean breezes. A straight up dome in LA just feels wrong to me.
