    We can start with katanas.
They are arms too and the Asians bring em in cheap.
Or machetes. Like grandpa used to do when the poachers got out of hand.
Every cult should have a well regulated militia.

I assigned a sword to each of you already a couple years ago.

I'm sure that blade is nice and all but it looks like a dull edged stainless steel glorified toy.
You need high carbon steel tempered and sharpened for entirely ceremonial ritual purposes.

    Nobody knows that recipe.
If you see Damascus steel its just a modern take that reproduces the look.
True Damascus steel blades are essentially nano-carbon technology.
No smith living today knows how to perform that alchemy with ancient tools.
And no modern scientist can forge nano carbon into a Damascus knife even with their modern equipment.
But if you would like to purchase an exquisite ivory and silver koftgari inlaid damascus steel knife from the highlands of kush i can have it delivered via bactrian camel to your domicile for a quick 100 shekels.

Yeah, it's actually a really interesting history.
The blades were from Damascus and the wootz steel was thought to be from India. There was something special about that wootz and the source of it was lost.
But modern steel is actually better, just not as romantic.

"better"... is more of an opinion type word
that special recipe of amalgamated metal allowed smiths to forge down to a level that modern science says is technically impossible without particle accelerators
allowing for an edge so fine and clean that a thug with a kukri could slice the head right off a horse in one swing without breaking or chipping when hitting bone
black sea nordics coming down from the persian steppe would steal these blades and have their indian dwarves reforge them into the mystical dirks and seaxes their sons remembered in legends
but modern mass produced high carbon steel is better for what its true purpose is
and that is a way to store value with the added bonus that it can save your life
a 3 ounce 30 inch blade with a value of 2k can be easily stored in multiples of 10 in a small wooden or even cardboard box.
its highly portable non taxable wealth storage
that if the shit hits the fan and money holds no value they can always be turned into weaponry for viva!
which is what expensive swords and the people who carried them have always been about
moving pilgrims money through the bandit infested road to the promised land

I would take a genuine Japanese Katana over any sword ever made. The perfect combination of strength, sharpness, durability and handling properties.

They are similar to Damascus in that they are hundreds of layers of different steels that have been hand together. But their shape was designed to cut completely through muscle and bone in a single stroke as well as being an excellent stabbing tool.

No wonder Conan loves his so much.

The katana is great but the layers are exaggerated to impress westerners.
First fold makes 2 layers but it grows exponentially and by the time you get to the 12th fold you are making dozens of layers at a time.
There is a multiplication trick that they use to claim the thousands of layers. It boils down to a few hundred folds. You can never trust these foreigners when it comes to trade. We do the exact same thing of course.
Its still a feat to produce a great blade though.
Conan's katana looks to be an older and larger design than the historical japanese katana.
It is most likely a tachi field saber (maybe even a nodachi due to Conan's size) which was used before the advent of the katana.
Those would take a mans head right off the mount.

    https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/felicity-huffmans-prison-offers-french-202023118.html

So Felicity Huffman's short stretch will be in a facility that offers French Vanilla Cappuccino, bottled water, Oil of Olay, tanning lotion, toothpaste and makeup. I would never wish physical harm on anyone, but if anyone ever deserved a shiv it's this bitch. Actually that's not true. At least she had the sense to plead guilty. The one who deserves to be shanked is Lori Loughlin. Refused a plea bargain and now face up to 40 years. Good luck with that.

    loughlin is an idiot
she seems oblivious to the fact that she's facing real time
don't see how they don't find her guilty...
then again a jury freed orenthal so who the fuck knows
she'll probably get some type of suspended sentencing...
meanwhile some otherwise innocent kid will get 15 years for smoking a blunt

Yeah, Huffman was contrite from the get go, and never avoided admitting the guilt and what came with it.
I don't get how Bill Macy skates on this...he had to know. Not that I want to see him incarcerated, but if there ever was a dual crime, isn't this it ?
Lori should do some hard Orange and Black bull dyke time I hope...she took it all as a joke photo op.
