Fat 1Bs continue to haunt the Dodgers.

Fat Stairs, Fat Adams and now He Fat Boi.

The one thing keeping me positive is that Jansen might be a top 3 reliever on every other NL contender, other then maybe the Brewers. In the AL, he wouldn’t, but you’d be surprised to see how bad even the Astros bullpen is. Kenley isn’t very good and our bullpen is scary but there are so many bad bullpens this year. The 7-9 innings of every playoff game are gonna be insane this year

I’m sure we’re overly harsh, but Kenley’s blowups just seem more epic.

In any case, it’s too late to fix. That ship had sailed at the beginning of the season.

you might want to watch the replay cause Smith grabs it below his knees and pulls it up
definitely a strike 70% of the time but still on the edge
to point to that one call as defining in any of this is just an excuse imo
failure is part of the game but his mediocrity and refusal to learn new pitches make him...not the closer pretty much but somehow he keeps getting the call
he's nervous out there like Baez used to be
as far as laser focused hatred of the man its just not accurate
the hatred comes from watching a has been that the league has figured out refuse to evolve
and a manager that bows down to his legend and makes excuses based on the one pitch
i hate rooting for him to be humiliated again and again but its the only shot we have
if thats what the program is going to be going forward its over

    Fair enough.
but as a point, where he catches it, or where he brings it up to, is after the electronic fact...that being, the image you see on the screen with the rectangle and the circle is where the ball was when it crosses the zone.
With robo umps, framing will mean nothing. There will be no one to fool.

    Yeah, so right.
Pretty sad when you think that so many Dodger fans are accepting this fate already...it really is.
The cockeyed optimist of yesteryear is drastically on the wane.
Comes from decimating experiences with loss for decades, I guess.

ok but that's a different conversation
I kind of want robo umps and the strike zone has been as bad as I can ever recall, or is that the fact the box is up all the time now?
not sure if that conversation has much in the way of legs though
I think its going to make a lot of people unhappy
cali wants to tax our mileage next and they have the gas stations asking for you mileage for 5 or 6 years
doesn't mean it'll happen but im open to whatever including more training on balls and strikes for the existing umps

As I said this: the Cardinals blow a 4-1 lead in the 9th, the Cubs closer blows the game in the 10th

    Most bullpens suck in 2019
