I want to see him make a doc about the history of white trash swamp yankee children of the corn cracker redneck squatters and their irish whores. The real americans. You go to a city like pomona and go to one of its hoods and you see equal parts brown, black, and white... but they are all the same people skin deep. All have different customs and cultural backgrounds but they all share certain certainties of life that go way deeper than colors, feasts and holydays. Plus lots of churches with pent up furies near cheap liquor stores and good food everywhere for you to show them a good time. Plus it always smells like the last days of the 3rd week of April everywhere you go. I have a strong affinity for this type of place. And those kind of people. I think its where I feel the most at ease. Or with wealthy well educated white people. That is particularly easy and enjoyable as long as you only talk about wealthy educated white people shit.
When I looked at Lux, I knew there was somebody he really reminded me of...finally, it came while watching an old western. Audie Murphy. Probably the greatest American hero of all time. And just a kid, too. Good omen. That's two, the other being Robots' ejection. The gods favor us...they have shown us the way.
wondering if anyone here has attended the Austin city limits music festival? looking at the logistics of seeing the cure and tame impala and wondering what to expect
got nothing... but maybe you can help me with what i have been wondering? are the red bloods equal to the red hoods? will the clown prince of grime take shit for 69 years of hard time? he thinks hes the king of new york he pulled a magic pencil trick on all the moronis hes public enemy number 1 but always beats the rap both sides of the coin hate his guts and want to bash his head in i bet he makes a comeback
so this is a must for any cure fan a b side off disintegration if you're a fan of the band, the sublime and the avant garde I suggest investing 7 minutes
A close cousin just went that way last month. Its a tough disease during crunch time. She was in her early fifties too.
RIP the great Ginger Baker. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/ginger-baker-legendary-drummer-band-162712964.html As a three man group, Cream was to rock what the All-Star outfield of Mays, Clemente and Aaron was to baseball. Listen closely to the version of Crossroads on Wheels of Fire. Listen to the drums, lead and bass separately. Perfection.
What a power trio. Cream/The Jimi Hendrix Experience could do with members what some of today’s bands can’t do with 5-6 members.
There is a scene where the director tries to visit Baker at his South African home. Baker rushes out and tries to freaking beat down the director. The director runs for his life back to his car, and he's bleeding from his head. Hate to say it, but it was funny as hell.
Yup. The only power trio I would not include is Grand Funk Railroad. Never understood the love for that band.
