    We’re a half game up by having one less loss. If we can close out with 4 straight wins, we’d get the HFA against all except for the Astros.

    Easier when you're playing the Pads and Rox.

    Won't mention SF. They're a pain in the ass (homo) even when they're shitty.

    Not relevant to this post, but man you’re super negative about this team?

    Not that this team is infallible by any means but we sure as hell have a chance in the playoffs. Let’s see what happens.

    I get that anything can happen in the playoffs, but this team has broken me. I'm excited about the future, but this year's team has me a bit down. That more has to do with just how fucking amazing the Astros look top to bottom. The new avatar definitely reflects my personal attitude for this team.

    HAH! Valid point. I have been watching the Rockies/Giants series and both those fuckers have looked so listless. I wanted to see them go another 15 last night just to spite those two. I'm going to be legit pissed if the Giants come out all pumped like they're in the midst of some playoff hunt when they play us. Nobody on their roster looks like they want to be there right now, yet Bochy is still making pitching changes like he's on the verge of a division championship. We are going to be so ready for the playoffs to get started after this weekend and Bochy making 487 of his slow ass walks out to the mound. Good riddance to that dude.

    A coworker of mine is a huge Padres fan, and he is hoping Bochy becomes the new manager of the Pads. So it may not be good riddance just yet.

    Hoping and him actually being linked to the club are two different things though. While he has been a great manager of players, he has also not been the most adaptive to the new style the game is being played. Yes he has not had the greatest talents on his roster recently, but he has still routinely set his lineups based on past numbers and accolades instead of setting a lineup up productively 1-8. Him with that young pitching staff would be a bit worrying, I do admit.

    No Turner in the lineup today. He was supposed to be, so this is great.

    Employing a Pads' fan might be a form of affirmative action.

    The lineup looks like a throwaway....would assume and hope it's just for rest. All though it would be nice to get JT more ABs before the playoffs since he is such a rhythm player.

    He's almost always gotten the most of his rosters. None of those Giant teams had uber talented lineups. They rode pitching and defense for the most part. He's always been a good manager of bullpens, going back to his days in SD.

    It makes sense to give guys rest now. With 3 days off between the end of the season and the NLDS, it's possible we might see our A-squad start the final game or two.

    Christ...

    @MMoreno1015
    Dave Roberts said Justin Turner experienced back tightness during batting practice yesterday. “We’re managing it,” Roberts said. Roberts is uncertain of how to manage or when Turner will be back in the lineup. Unavailable today.

    Time for Rendon.
    Can't trust Turner or Seager to stay healthy, even with our depth and ability to give them adequate rest.
