    Setting the playoff pitching staff will be interesting this weekend. Entering the last weekend, we have 5 locks: Jansen, Baez, Maeda, Urias, and Kolarek

    Kelly is a lock if he’s healthy.
    Leaves 3 spots for Hill, Ferguson, May, Gonsolin, Stripling. The rest prob don’t cut it

    I don’t think Ferguson will make it. He’s been good, but no team has enough lefties to justify having 3 lefties in the bullpen. Hill is obviously a big wild card

    having to decide between 2 of Gonsolin, May, and Stripling might be tough. All 3 should make it if Hill (or Kelly) aren’t healthy enough. But if they have to choose 2, it’s a tough choice. striplings the most experienced and consistent but with lowest upside. May has the most upside and on a hot streak. Gonsolin is in the middle: been consistent, flexible, but in the middle of Strip/May as far as experience and consistency.

    will throw a bullpen today, pitch on Sunday is the plan. Given how erratic he’s been, it’s concerning but we’ll see. They still have time from sunday through Thursday for him maybe to pitch once more and see how he’s doing.

    There's a limit to the number of poll responses you can have. The poll is probably a good reflection of who irish hates the most.

    that’s funny because i threw one likeable poster (doyer) to make it appear more fair
    actually a better poll would be how many votes doyer gets, with the over/under at 0

    I think that since they have not used Gonsolin in short bursts yet, that may have him on the outside looking in. I would love to see them do that this series and b2b days if possible, but he has also been held to pitching once every 5 days still. May tacked on 2 MPH's knowing he was only getting an inning and Gonsolin has been known to hit triple digits when used in 1 inning instances so I have been struggling trying to understand their motive with him. The FB can flatten out a bit when the velo gets up there, but I have got to believe that giving him 1 inning to uncork and people thinking about that brutal 70 grade splitter on the way, would make him a dangerous piece in the pen. As for May, the last two days proved to me that he needs to be in the pen. That was fucking insane.

    Undisclosed body injury. Honestly, my guess is that his mechanics are all out of whack and they are trying to fix it without getting him in a game. His mechanics are an ongoing issue throughout his career and is the main reason that he can no longer be a starter.

    the Dodgers should check with MLB to see if there is a prohibition on face paint during the game. If he comes out like that, nobody would be able to get in the box let alone take a decent swing off of him. Absolutely terrifying
