Pollock... a fuckin injury-prone corner OFer. Good thing we locked him up for 5-years, because that's hard to come by.

This can't be overstated. Kenley should have been stripped of his "Closer" title mid-2018. To be this far behind on that move is inexcusable. And I am 100% sure he will be the Closer again next year.

He got the third out he came in to. Then went into the dugout and came out for the 8th to give up two runs. But yeah, the element of surprise would have made a difference.

I’m more curious why he was pitching from a stretch with no one on.

    Congrats!

Honestly, I think chatting with you guys is one of the biggest reasons I'm still putting myself through this.

60% of my work is alone in my office so having DSP as an open tab is helpful and habitual.

Never thought we'd have a worse hitting AJ on the Dodgers after Ellis departed. Well done, Pollock.

For as shitty as Ellis was at the plate, he got some hits in the playoffs.

And particularly in this series. Harper raked all year against Stras/Scherzer/Corbin. Obviously, knows them extensively. Could've given some tips to some of these other guys w/o a clue.

And I don't even buy that he wouldn't have been better with LAD, surrounded by more talent with less pressure to carry the org. Stats are very situational sometimes

I know I'm irrationally hard on Buehler
Just want to give him props for stepping up continuously

Pollock: .071 OPS in the series.

For reference, Seager's OPS was 5x higher at .350 and Bellinger's OPS was almost 8x higher at an abysmal 0.549.

By the way, Kershaw only feels bad for the "other guys in the clubhouse"
Never one mention of the fans.

Put Bellinger behind Harper, especially early in the season, and you would definitely see a small bump in WAR.

He shouldn't have any fans at this point unless you count fans of teams that hate us.

Worst part is how badly we all want him to flip the script as much as we may hate him.

Every time I think how great it’d be if he was the reason we finally won it. I’m sure we all do.

Al Lieter and John Hart prophesied what happened with Clayton about 7 hours before the game
They said if the Dodgers use Kershaw to follow Buehler in a 3-1 ish game, it's bad news for the Dodgers

How much of a difference? Who knows? Because Kersh is just a choker, bottom line. But the Nats would've been scrambing at that point between the ears because that's just the atmosphere in the midst of a big game with pressure to make good on what you're seeing/being told on the fly. Pedro said it..they jumped on those pitches early because they were well prepared to see him in that spot..they were waiting for him.

As for the stretch, probably looking for some deception because he knows he doesn't have the velo anymore
