Kershaw is less of a problem than Dave.
Kershaw should be the 4th or 5th pitcher on the staff.
Let him work a light schedule during the season so he is as fresh as possible for the post.
And then let him just get 1 game per series in the post unless you need more.
Don't treat him as the ace coming in for the 'save' when you have plenty of long relievers/closers for that job.
That is what Dave has been doing for years because he is a nice guy just like Kersh.
You don't need nice guys in the post. You need some animals.

Buehler is the horse and ace of this team and this should be in cement going forward.
The team needs to bring in another ace like Cole or SS.
But what it truly needs is a manager that trusts his gut because his gut has proven reliable.
    Davey has bad guts.
He should not trust them and just be the good robot and process the analytics as he is told.

Besides whose idea was it to hire a black manager and give him the whitest team in sports?
Joe Girardi is probably the best bet... with Wallach and Utley as coaches.
    Bring back Puig too!
Would rather have him over Pollock any day.

    LF: Joc/Bellinger
    2B: Muncy/Villar
    3B: Turner
    1B: Bellinger/Muncy
    SS: Seager/Kike
    C : Smith/Ruiz
    CF: Verdugo
    RF: Puig

That's a more integrated team for a bunch of older white guys to yell at.

who exactly was in the best position to succeed; kershaw, kelly?
    what an ass
    • “I mean, if the blame falls on me, I've got no problem with it,” he said. “I feel that my job is to put guys in the best position to have success and if it doesn't work out, there's always going to be second-guessing, and I got no problem wearing the brunt of that. That's OK.”

    fuck
    • Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, who has been heavily criticized in the aftermath of the club’s season-ending loss to the Washington Nationals on Wednesday, will return next season, according to two people with knowledge of the situation.

What did Einstein say about the definition of insanity?

Seems to fit the bill here.

Putting CK in a high leverage, high stress situation, in the post season given his past history, and in a reliever role, which he rarely does, was unforgivable.....plain stupid.

I know my interest is going to easily be half of what it has been if he's back
what's the point if he's going to do this every year?

Last off-season the FO gave Dave an extension through 2022, extended Kershaw, signed Pollock for FIVE years, signed Kelly, and offered Ryu a QO hoping he would walk and they’d get the draft pick. Maybe my beef isn’t with Dave.

Also, kudos to the team for bringing Lux up in September, giving him 75 ABs and expecting him to be ready to face postseason pitching - meanwhile he was clearly ready to come up 2-3 months earlier.

A few errors in that article. Most of the players they gave him credit for were there before he was hired. Zaidi was also the one who discovered Max.
Not to say that makes Friedman any less impressive.
    I'd hate to lose him.

I’m so salty right now, I wouldn’t mind if Friedman left. To be fair, they’ve done an amazing job getting our development system back on track (I know Kasten was involved there too). Friedman has made great trades and dug up some DFA’d gems. But the FAs have been less than stellar.
