Oh. My. God. That was mean. His pump fake and drive game from the 3pt line is just so mean. It's a potential business decision every single time. Lol
280lbs coming down the tracks..I wouldn't even have laughed at Collins for making a business decision there

Warriors get their 1st W of the season..against the Pels. Pels fall to 0-4. They're going to win games..they can't go 0-82, but this start is just what the doctor ordered for them

According to Shams Charania of Stadium, Kuzma may be even closer than Vogel made it sound, as his sources are saying that Kuzma is apparently doing well enough to have specific return dates in mind:

“I’m told Kyle Kuzma is essentially 100% healthy right now. He’s got to work his way back into game shape, that’s the only hiccup right now. Just working himself back into game shape and his routine. I’m told he’s targeting either Dallas on Friday, or San Antonio on Sunday for his season debut.”

26-27 @ the free throw line in this game..was the Lakers' new superstar big man.

A1 observation by Gil. The one thing I'd say for Vogel is that he may have just been thinking long game. But yeah, same as I saying the other day..doesn't matter how good Bradley is on D against Lou, one well timed/solid screen and Bradley's eliminated. Gil 110% right, at the end of the day that guy that's responsible for catching the roller cannot be a 6-2/6-4 guy and probably won't be once Kuz comes back. But Kuz had better have his hard hat on defensively this season.

One other thing to note from Gil's observation that Kawhi definitely didn't like LAL's length in the starting unit..if/when they add Iggy and bring him off the LAL bench, Kawhi may have nowhere to run. I'm talking complete shut down because he's not really a super-creative scorer and he's an iso/post guy. Plays right into Iggy's strengths. So take the big guys out and then bring Iggy in and there's just no break

Well we haven't gotten Iggy, and there is no guarantee that we will. We need to operate based on today's roster.

Yeah that's why I said " if/when " they add Iggy, looking down the road at potential opportunities.

Can also look down the road and see that a potentially healthy Cousins returning for the playoffs would more than likely be an upgrade over Javale in the starting lineup, Cousins one of the very best passers in the NBA and a solid shooter from the outside. Very early right now, of course, but the AD/Javale combination hasn't been up to snuff +/- wise. Javale has played the overwhelming majority of his minutes with AD and it's not looking too good so far, and being that it's Javale McGee we're talking about, I'm just not optimistic of it getting better.

But forget Cousins for a sec..let's just talk Kuz's return on Friday ( official now)..what really should happen over the next month is that Kuz should get the opportunity to start next to AD and LeBron. Again, it's early and it probably won't happen soon because they probably don't want to lose Javale's commitment, and what's the big deal over starting? Generally, it's the starting unit that finishes the game. You have your outliers like our last title team that finished w/Odom or today's Clippers that finish with bench guys Lou and Harrell, but yeah, Kuz should get a crack at it - starting and finishing

I look at Kuz like our Lou Williams. Comes in and leads the 2nd unit and finishes the game.

I think hes a guy that needs touches and needs rhythm. Gonna be harder to find that with AD and Bron out there at the start of games.

Kuz is going to be better than Lou, or at least we better hope so. More potential defensively, not even close. Doc is probably going to be debating whether or not to finish games with Lou in the future. Wouldn't even shock me at all if Lou eventually moved on to his 7th or 8th different team over the next couple years. If the minutes are staggered correctly early and they avoid foul trouble, AD should be leading the 2nd unit and Kuz potentially his wing man.

Bringing Kuz off the bench should work out too, though, as long as he gets a shot at closing. But unless Javale picks it up, there's probably going to come a point when they're going to think about making Kuz or Dwight a starter, maybe even Cousins if he gets back. Javale had an OK game last night, or at least the production was there, but he definitely played a lot too

    PG: Caruso, Daniels
    SG: Green, Iggy
    SF: LeBron, Kuzma
    PF: Davis, Cousins
    C : Dwight, Javale

Kuzma as sixth man playing most of his minutes on the second unit with Iggy and Cousins before joining AD and LeBron during crunch. That will allow Kuzma to be the main scorer most of the time he is in the game. By the 4th he should be on a roll.

Lakers need to play big. No team in the NBA can switch on such balanced lineups and the interior defense of the bigs gives the guards confidence up top. This team does not need to go with 3 guards that can't create their own offense at a time. Gil is 100% right. Its not about pairing LeBron with 3 shooters, one or two is enough. The other guy needs to know how to make plays.

Watching Kerr and the GSW eat a foot long shit sandwich will be a pleasure this year.

Nice way to break in their new digs in SF.

Fully expect to see more of this from Embiid this season. Crying after Kawhi's Game 7 GW was a bad move, he will be tested, even by the likes of Towns.

Outside of that, Philly looks strong. Everyone is over the moon about Simmons potentially becoming a better shooter, but I've seen him setting stronger screens and embracing rolling to the basket. Don't want to see the day when he begins developing in that phase of the game and starts doing the little clever/worker bee things like a Draymond or Odom

lol yeah. And the commentator was talking about takedowns and rear naked chokes.
It looked more like a couple of guys that really didn't want to fight.
