    Cody Bellinger
    Corey Seager
    Clayton Kershaw
    Joe Kelly mismanaged by Dave
    Over the hill Kenley Jansen
    AJ Pollock
    Dave Roberts

    We weren't winning anyways.

I'm always sad and bitter when anyone wins that isn't us. But I am not fooling myself into thinking if we got through round 1 we would have won.

2013-2016 I think we win the WS if we get through the NL.

Not the Cody-Corey Dodgers. No fucking way.

Trade top prospects and quality pitching depth for Mookie and Lindor.
Nobody is going to give much for Seager after his down years. Trade him next year with other prospects for Arenado.

    CF: Mookie
    SS: Lindor
    3B: Arenado
    2B: Muncy
    1B: Turner
    RF: Bellinger
    C : Smith
    LF: Joc

    yay!

Gerrit Cole has two feet on out that door in Houston, wearing a Boras cap after the game, and said he was not an employee of the Houston Astros.

I already preferred signing Stras over Cole. Shit is a slam dunk now. A Boras cap? Not a part of the team? Loser shit.

Of course, this means the Dodgers will sign loser Cole..just like they signed loser Pollock, loser Jansen, loser Kershaw, etc. Cole will join LAD, forget how to pitch without Brent Strom, crumble under the monster contract pressure, and off we go into the more of the wild, blue fuckery

From what I've read and seen multiple times this postseason, Cole was a Yankee fan growing up in OC. Either way, Halos or Yankees, seems he was clever enough to evade Dodger fandom.

The Boras Corp hat feels like a statement, that he's going to the highest bidder and I'll put my money on the Yankees winning that one. Even though the smart play would probably be for NYY to grab Stras instead and let Moreno have Cole

Why is managing in MLB so hard?

AJ Hinch says he didn't want to put Gerrit Cole in unless the Astros had the lead. WTF? 1) You did have the lead when Greinke left, so...? and 2) After the 8th inning, it would have been impossible for any Astros pitcher to pitch with the lead, so why not send Cole out there for the 9th? I have nothing against Joe Smith and Urquidy, but it seems kinda retarded to have your most dominant pitcher of the postseason, and potential Cy Young winner, sitting in the bullpen during the final innings of your season. WTF were you saving him for at that point? This is Dave Roberts level dumbassery. But I guess Hinch's real job is to convincingly deny cheating allegations. Fuck AJ Hinch, fuck the Astros, and fuck Josh Hader.

wonder how watching the clutch pitchers such as Strasberg, Cole, Scherzer, Grienke etc. felt for CK sitting at home?
or the clutch ab's of Soto, Rendon, Kendrick, etc. felt for Seager, Belli and Pollock
    or Kenley watching Hudson
little davey has to be thinking he could have done that (he couldn't) and you just know he has that stupid what happened look on his face all day today (everyday)
and the parking and beer prices just went up 5% across the board
    fuck the Dodgers

My problem is taking Greinke out at all, him having only given up 2 base runners all game. Just let him get out of it. Nats are obviously going to be pressing in that moment, and Greinke has 1,000 solid offerings..just let him do his dance, he's been shutting the Nats down forever.

I can understand Hinch wanting to give Cole a clean inning, and the guy they brought in for Greinke had been good..basically their Maeda. But as far as the explanation Hinch gave..chalk it up to baseball. That said, Cole's post game act could be an answer as well.." not an employee " while wearing a Boras cap. Cole's lost the benefit of the doubt with me

He brought in his most effective post season reliever (Harris). It didn't work out. It happens to the best of them (Mariano vs the Dbacks).

The "clean inning" excuse is what I figured in the moment. And using Osuna in the 8th, he's your closer, I can get that. But not using Cole in the 9th made zero sense.

That said, they were already down by 2 at that point and their offense didn't do shit in the 9th so who gives a shit.... maybe they do more if they know they only need 2 to tie? But then again, if the opponent isn't tipping their pitches, and you didn't get good cellphone pictures of the opponents game plans, then what are you gonna do?

True indeed. That said, his most effective pitcher against that team was already pitching.

It's not a big problem that I have with Hinch there because I didn't want the Astros to win, anyway, and Harris had been really good too. But I wouldn't be shocked if Hinch were 2nd guessing his decision to not let Greinke finish that inning

Lol Didn't do shit in the 9th? Astros left 10+ runners on base and I think they were at that mark before the 8th inning. So on one hand, you have to think they'd get more guys on base..but on the other hand - RISP - runners in stranding position.

They just got their asses handed to them. I'm not about to go hard at Hinch or any one player more than the next. Hinch didn't leave 10+ runners on base..those hitters did that shit

They left 9 runners on base in the first 5 innings. They left 1 runner on base in the final 4 innings. 10 total. They went 1,2,3 in the 9th, including Altuve striking out on a pitch over his head (but then again, what pitch isn't).

And that wasn't even a bad pitch. Just an amazing hit by Howie.

Losing the division might require us to go 80-82.
