The All Star team does not mean a whole lot in my eyes since they require every team to have one representative. His defense at 1B is pretty awful at this point, so he is probably going to need to slide to DH here soon. If he were to have to do that, he would most definitely need to clean up his numbers against RHP'ing where he has put together OPS's of .772 and .769 each of the past two seasons. That doesn't cut it for a DH and I would bet that those numbers will probably only get worse, not better. He absolutely demolishes LHP'ing which is where he gets the biggest boost to his numbers. Maybe he will prove me wrong, but with where this game has been trending the last couple of years, I would not be shocked if he was out of work in a couple of seasons.

He definitely needs to move off 1B, and move off the CHISox as well while he's at it

I'm still pissed at the way he went in the post season, but he did deserve this. BTW, WHO THE FUCK gave him a 5th place vote?!

It was Rockies writer Tracy Ringolsby that voted Bellinger 5th and Yelich 4th

Just have to hope he takes the next step next season. Safe to say he's on a solid track, especially for a guy that wasn't celebrated at draft time or for like half his stay in the minors

MVP award winners with 25+ games at multiple positions:
    Belli 2019
    Kris Bryant 2016
    Buster Posey 2012
    Mike Schmidt 1986
    Harmon Killebrew 1969
    Stan Musial 1946

That's it. Over the long history of MLB

This is going to be hard to believe because he just turned 21..but Soto is going to get better.

Absolutely, he wasn't the same player after the first two months and you could tell that it all started when his mechanics started to stray again. If he can lock things in, he should be a dominant force again... Just gotta put in the work.

Definitely doesn't have any issues with working hard. And let's hope he doesn't start dealing meth because he definitely looked like a meth dealer on TV accepting the award earlier

    Btw,
Christian Yelich in his age 23 season: .782 OPS. Reached 9 total WAR at the end of his 3rd season in the bigs(His age 23 season).
Anthony Rendon: .725 OPS. Reached 9 total WAR in his 4th season in the bigs(Age 26 season).

I am not giving up on this kid after a shitty playoffs, because there is still room for improvement.
