Billion dollar settlement? Woo. Good for St.Louis, I guess. They did deserve better, especially with the Rams finally having pulled their shit together there, getting it done in '99. Best show in the NFL at the time, heading into the new millennium, they really had it going at a peak moment. Of course, ultimately, they'd go on to blow that opportunity..not that it was Kroenke's fault with him not owning the team at the time, but it was a hell of an opportunity. And then the sale of a NFL team generally reflects weakness in a brand, so 10 years later they'd hit rock bottom in relevance. Credit Kroenke for seizing the opportunity and even trying to resettle in a fickle LA market. Chances of the Rams failing in LA are probably 50/50 or 60/40, but you take those odds if you have as much scratch as Kroenke/Walton. A worthwhile gamble.

As for the RAIDERS not landing in LA, yeah, it really is L.A.'s loss. But I mean, beyond the bad feelings about Al, they couldn't allow their guest to outdraw them in Inglewood, so the Chargers were the only play. Like Mayweather avoiding Pacquiao for years, that wasn't a fight Kroenke needed or wanted. Go fight Maidana/Chargers. Of course, as mentioned, the RAIDERS are still in Kroenke's backyard, but at least the fuckery won't be happening under the same roof.

At the very least, SoFi Stadium can serve as a nice monument for LA football fans to swing around and check out before heading for Vegas. At the most, Rams cash in on the Dodgers' failure and slide in behind the Lakers. Think Inglewood/Rams will serve a purpose either way. Although, if the Clippers win big on their way to Inglewood it could serve as another hurdle to clear. Ballmer is arguably the best owner in LA right now.

Rams lost a good part of a generation of fans because of the move to St Louis. It's going to take some time to rebuild that. I think that in time it will work.

The Chargers are cluster fuck. They'll always be bastard step children in LA. They owned San Diego and proceeded to piss on those fans. Have to give the voters of San Diego credit for declining to build Spanos a stadium.

With the Lakers relevant again, the Rams are background noise. The talk about them has fallen off big time this season after people jumped on the wagon last year for the ride to the SB. I feel that is how it'll always be for them in their return to LA. They're going to have to win a lot of "fans".

Rams were background noise during Super Bowl week last season. Smh Is that the lowest they've ever been? My goodness. The sports world was on around the clock AD/Lakers trade watch during Super Bowl week. But yeah, now it's to the point where the Rams are actively overextending themselves, even after overpaying Goff and just having bad luck with Gurley's health. This year they go out and spend multi year 1st round compensation to get Ramsey without getting an extension done. An established superstar and a big name on top of being a great talent, so they just took the plunge even though everything this season had pointed to this being a lost year. Smelled of desperation, looking to bring some attention in a down year, on the eve of a big move to a new venue.

Rams may be at the bottom of that division in a couple years..the Cards are active now with Murray @ QB and very competitive, banging out close games seemingly every week. Think the Rams have one sure fire thing going for them right now and it's the league they play in. Can they ride the NFL shield/production into significance? Maybe for a couple seasons in this day and age, but they're going to need one hell of a push in other avenues like social media, etc.

Chargers are always gonna Charger, and that helps a speck. However, if Belichick/Kraft decide it's time to move on from free agent Brady after this season..and Rivers walks away to be his 50 kids..and Brady wants to play in LA (his offseason home)..the Chargers could be well positioned to bring Brady to LA. And if that happens then it's just RIP Rams. Peter King talked about this exact scenario a couple days ago - Brady/Chargers.

The Rams mortgaged their future by giving up so many draft picks and over paying for Goff.

It will be awhile till they are relevant again. The only way that stadium will succeed is if it really becomes a destination spot for shopping, entertainment, etc.

Imagine Brady playing there though..just for the Chargers. Lol Does Kroenke still win in that case? Si

99% chance for rain in NY on Sunday and RAIDERS need to be able to move the ball through the air in this game. Fuuuuck

Short passing game, a lot of motion and misdirection is probably on the menu. Foster Moreau and Renfrow

33-28. Don't tell me you just googled the score. That game was never that close. Baltimore scored a couple TD's is garbage time.

It was a 1 score game in the middle of the 3rd quarter, IIRC. And a game that was weeks before Mahomes would fuck up both his ankle and his knee..before Baltimore's defense had an identity..before we found out KC would likely be traveling to Baltimore (in January) if the teams were to play again. Baltimore had yet to even play anybody before that game in KC, having opened the season against Miami and Murray 2 games into his career. And the Cardinals actually played the Ravens tough. And you know who actually dominated the Ravens a week after the KC game? The Browns.

Dude, these 2 teams played one another in the 1st quarter of the season. We're now a couple weeks out from heading into the final quarter of the season. You actually think these are the same teams right now? KC just turned the ball over 4 times and barely held off the Chargers. The #1 defense Pats barely kept Baltimore from scoring 40 a couple weeks ago. Tell you what..I'm just gonna mark you down for a 2TD KC advantage if they have to go to Baltimore in January and leave this ridiculousness at that

KC was up 30-13 going into the 4th quarter until Reid did his typical bullshit let off the gas garbage. Mahomes ankle and knee aren’t issues at the moment
. The thing is... KC has faltered lately due to several injuries. And now they are getting all those guys back after the bye. Sure it is reasonable to assume Baltimore is a different team and if they meet again it will probably be in Baltimore. But KC is a better road team than home (5-1 on the road) and there is a reason Mahomes torched them, Baltimore doesn’t matchup well with KC’s offense, and that was without Tyreek Hill (granted Jimmy Smith was out and Peters wasn’t there yet).

    :laff::laff::laff:
    KC @ Detroit (near loss)
    KC @ Oakland (meh)
    KC @ JAX (meh)
    KC @ Denver (meh)
    KC @ TEN (Loss)
    KC @ Chargers/Mexico City (meh)

How many notable road wins are there? Like one, and you could argue that none are notable since the young RAIDERS were finding their way early on.
KC is a " better road team than home " because they haven't played any of the elite in those games.

Again, that was a 1 score game with half the 3rd quarter left, and it was before Baltimore had hit it's stride on both sides of the football this season..3rd game.
Marking you down for a 2TD KC advantage if KC has to go to Baltimore in January

I understand your argument. But the Patriots have a very weak AFC East schedule year in and year out. Yet they have a dynasty in terms of SBs.

You play the teams on the schedule.

Another reason though that I want the Packers to absolutely kill the 49’ers this week.

And that's what KC is living on this season, but the difference is that the Patriots have had the best HC/QB combo year in and year out and so they have always held that edge

I don't like the Packers in this one, but I also hope they win

You can say that however many times you want, it still isn't correct. 23-6 at halftime, 23-13 until two minutes left in the third at which it became 30-13.

23-13 sounds like a monster blowout, bro. Never seen 23-13 turn into 23-20 like ever

How is it that arguably the best KC win this season came with Matt Moore under center?

Despite the media basically announcing Lamar has already won MVP, Russell Wilson is still my MVP.

    23 TD-2 INT, 2,737 yards passing.
