    Mitt Romney and John McCain.
Not my place to judge them as human beings, but they are two of the biggest political losers of our time.

mitt Romney can win Utah as a democrat. It’s nice to see a GOP member not scared of the Trump Cult

Romney was literally the GOP nominee for president in 2012

Does it really matter what kind of underwear he wears or if he doesn't fit the mold of what another thinks a Republican is or should be?
I give the guy credit for having the courage to stand by his convictions.
It didn't look like it was a grandstand play, imo.
Every once in a while a guy has to show up who believes in something, and is willing to sacrifice for it.

Romney wanted to allow witnesses to be called at a ... well, trial; and thinks that a president putting his own interest before the American people is committing abuse of power - and now he gets slammed as not being a Republican? Wow. Who’s breaking ranks with who here.

But really I’m just here to congratulate Pete on winning the Iowa caucus. I hope this propels him forward, and all the way to the Democratic nomination.

Do we know he's won yet? Seems like the're still counting/manufacturing votes and it's still neck and neck.
NYTimes reporting abnormalities with the counts.
Should be a fun election season.

And now everyone is talking about Mitt and not about the actual trial.
Pretty sure that's not how Mitt wanted this to play out.
    Or maybe he did.

Damn, we don't know if Pete won yet. I went to bed last night and he had a 1% lead with 90% reporting, so I felt good about it, but I wake up this morning and with 97% reporting he's down to a 0.1% lead. Any way you slice it though, both Pete and Bernie will receive the exact same split of the 41 delegate votes from Iowa, so he can spin a win out of that.

Not bad considering Bernie had a 4-year head start in Iowa, Pete lost more votes to opponents in the moderate lane than Bernie lost in the progressive lane, and Pete doesn't have the advantage of "buying" votes by throwing free shit at kids like they're in an Oprah studio audience.

How close are we to the actual status of "words have no meaning" any longer ?

    I didn't say he wasn't a Republican.
    Just that he's a loser.

I don't think any of us will change each others minds on the validity of the impeachment and everything sort of stems from that.

I'm more concerned about the elephant in the room...

...that Pete's Buttigieg won the caucus...unfair advantage?

    Fair enough.

As far as the elephant in the room, you take the advantage wherever you can get it, no?

surprised Bobas hasn’t dox you to your employer for being a racist SOB.

It was Iran’s money from the fucking Iran Contra affair in the 80’s. They paid for weapons that US didn’t deliver.

Seems like Pete picked up the majority of the second round votes from the non-viable candidates, which isn't a surprise.

Couple things will be interesting over the course of the primary season:
    1) How long does Warren stay in the race? Assume that many/most of her supporters would go to Bernie otherwise. Longer she sticks around, the worse it is for him.
    2) Does Pete get support outside the Midwest.
    3) Do either of the "billionayes" get any traction in later primaries.

Warren is just stubborn/clueless enough to stick around for the duration. If Pete, Biden and BloomSteyer split the rest of the delegates, could wind up with a brokered convention. Hillary swoops in for the win...lol.

Romney is a RINO. He longs to be back in the spotlight. It was an attention grab. The House and their crooked, one-sided investigation should have brought a proper case to the Senate. Not that steaming pile of shit they did. “The evidence is overwhelming, you must convict”. “We need more witnesses to prove our case.” It’s a fucking contradiction, which one is it?

Now the Democrats can’t even flip a coin or count properly in Iowa. They are a one dimensional joke. Russia, piss tapes, Ukraine, FISA fraud denials. The absolute party of failure and no accountability.

I heard you guys love people from another country telling you your shit. You’re welcome.

    And fuck yes Brexit!

    Serious question:

Why do people feel differently about Mitt than Tulsi Gabbard?

Because she kinda did the same thing. And the same people that are praising Mitt excoriated her. And vice versa.

Granted, I can imagine her naked and it's pretty easy to forgive her.

    Isn't that for horses
I watch the news from outside the US.
It's harder for people to buy and sell into the propaganda when it's not imposed on them by their own culture.
So we end up with more honest coverage for the simple fact that they have their own cultures propaganda to keep in mind.
