FOX Sports: NFL@NFLonFOX Philip Rivers and the Chargers have mutually agreed to part ways as Rivers will enter free agency. Enter free agency?
As much as seeing Tom Brady on the Raiders would be cool... is he even good anymore? I think I’d just rather roll with Carr and some draft picks Las Vegas Raiders... sounds pretty dope actually
Carr has one sure fire thing going for him - that he's been in the offense for a couple years. Bringing in a new guy, guy has to learn the offense - or they'd have to learn the new guy's system, potentially - if it's Brady. Sort of a lot to deal with, but then again, Gruden also enjoys grinding and that sort of thing, so who knows RAIDERS' 2nd home coming along, as well
Will say this about Brady/RAIDERS, as well. Brady actually ran Gruden's offense in college. Michigan was heavy West Coast offense under Lloyd Carr. Many of the same principles that Brady applies in his own system - getting the ball out quick, slant heavy, run after catch, targeting the RB a bunch, etc.

NFL free agency has become all about Brady - which he's definitely loving. Report: Raiders ready to offer Tom Brady two-year, $60 million deal https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/02/15/report-raiders-ready-to-offer-tom-brady-two-year-60-million-deal/
Whole lot of smoke gathering. A 2nd round pick will do According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Vincent Bonsignore, multiple NFL teams will head to Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine with their eye on engaging in preliminary trade discussions for Carr. The Raiders reportedly have been planning to move on from Carr since the offseason began. Whether it’s Jon Gruden’s interest in giving Tom Brady a $60 million contract or exploring another top option in free agency, a new quarterback will likely be under center for the Raiders in 2020.

It would go into effect this upcoming season. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28739375/more-playoff-teams-expected-new-cba-sources-say
That'd be next level, if they just decided to take the best records. Don't think that's a part of this, though....that's headline material
Great, on one hand. On the other hand, reminds me of how pissed fans should be about not making the playoffs this season. So much bullshit..fucked over by the refs in the JAX/Denver games
