Price looked great but Barnes was framing like a boss, per usual.

    Yeah, he's good at it.
Oddly, it won't be even be a consideration or a conversation when the electronic K zone is a thing.
    Because umps suck.

Well, hopefully, we all get to be old. But not all do.
The bitter thing is a matter of taste.

    I meant Carlin's act.
It went from hilariously sharp Irish chedder to as bitter as that acid they make vitamin c pills with when he aged.
It's like he saw what he predicted come true and hated it but couldn't pull up and see good new stuff coming to save shit in the end.
    Then again he was Rufus.

Happened more than once...I would imagine Lenny Bruce is before your time, but his act was political from the get go. George actually stood on Lenny's shoulders, particularly with his seven words shtick.
I still can see in my mind's eye, Dustin Hoffman ( in his excellent portrayal of Bruce in"Lenny") being escorted forcibly from the court room, yelling " don't take away my words...please don't take away my words"!
And of course, there's Sam Kinison, who was absolutely hilarious and a great original talent. Imo.
But by his end, his act was just a drug addled narrative on how handling the two sisters that jumped on his bandwagon on a nightly basis was.
I saw him then at the Felt Forum, and for much of the show, the place was like a morgue...with the audience like bored high school kids listening to a lecture.
    ...and the beat goes on...

Julio Urias pitched 3 scoreless innings, but also hit former Dodgers prospect Willie Calhoun in the face with a 95 mph fastball and broke his jaw.

Not relevant, but Cheddar is actually English. Went on a tour there with my family to the town and place tney make it, and the tour conveyor belt, way high over the vats of materials used in the process, broke down and completely stopped. For some time. All of us were acrophobic, ( still am) and I remember, after all I had been through to date, how would it be if I died in a cheese factory ?
