In the explanation video he said he was throwing a changeup, and he wasn’t throwing a ball, he was throwing a clean fuego ball/disc. He also said he’s not very good at throwing a changeup with it.

    • A new idea that apparently IS gaining steam to get the season moving is a 3 state league where teams would play in Florida with their 2 domed stadiums, Zona with their domed stadium and Texas with their now 2 domed stadiums. This would give the opportunity for teams to be able to play at the domed facilities in extreme weather where up to 3 games a day could be played and allow for potentially less rain outs. Dallas also has 2 major league stadiums due to the Rangers moving into a new stadium this upcoming season, so you could have at least 6 clubs out of Texas, but I am sure that the league prefers 10. Let's hope they don't try the fucking Alamodome again and the Astrodome has gone into disrepair so it is also not an option.
    • MiLB is likely to agree to reduce to 120 affiliates from 160 going forward. Teams would have 4 outside complex affiliates + a rookie level team that would play at the clubs spring training site. Teams and leagues would also be restructured to match their locations better to greatly reduce travel. So a AAA team could become a LoA team and vice versa. Teams that don't draw crowds are also expected to get the chopping block(the FSL is notorious for this). In total, 42 teams are expected to get the ax and 2 Indy ball teams are expected to be added. I'm expecting the PCL to be disbanded or completely restructured as they are the most spread out league in MiLB. This will be interesting to watch unfold as the Dodgers own their AA and AAA affiliates and now due to location, they could be in the same league. Another thing being proposed is all the teams would have an ownership stake in their affiliates. This is apparently welcomed as a lot of MiLB owners would welcome the stability.

With a number of states reducing restrictions to begin the month, we may see more teams asking to play at home. The Rockies and Braves would both fall into this category, but MLB may still choose to reduce travel.

if they really want to start the season just let it be without fans or half the amount of fans
i doubt there is one athlete that is truly concerned at this point
and if he is then leave him off the roster
but four months away from family?
    no way thats happening

So let me get this straight. The Boston Red Sox are being punished for cheating but Manfred could find no evidence of any coach or player knowing that they were cheating.

    Got it.

And any punishment for the "2020 season" is a straight up farce, and everyone knows it. This guy Manfred is laughing at the obligatory prosecution of his job...why , I don't know. Douchebaggery rampant, and a flat out insult to each and every baseball fan's intelligence.
Must have a sick sense of humor, and should be replaced fucking immediately, if not sooner.
As my first sergeant used to say.

    Mine, too.

She was scared to fall again and never got out of the wheelchair despite being capable of doing so.

my mom just fell yesterday and fortunately it was backwards on her bum
she smacked her head on the ground as well but is just fine
she's determined not to get in the wheelchair
poor caregiver was in tears hoping i wouldn't be angry at her...how exactly could i be angry?
its not like anyone can be there all the time and even if they were how can they be expected to catch her?
if they are too close she yells at them

Ned Colletti on the Baseball Tonight podcast just said that they had a deal in 2008 with the Indians that would have landed them CC Sabathia. It was vetoed by Frank McCourt due to the prospects that went back(he later hints that it was more likely financial reasons as this would have cost them $5M). Here is the deal that he said it was:

    Dodgers Get:

    CC Sabathia
    Casey Blake
    Jamey Carroll
    Indians Get:
    Carlos Santana
And 4 prospects that never panned out

Here is the kicker.... none of the prospects in this deal were used in the Manny deal later on and he feels they would have done them both. The Dodgers would have had the hottest pitcher and batter in the game for the last couple of months. Fuck Frank McCourt.

    Some other bits from it:
    • He talks about how the Manny trade went down and gives him plenty of credit for being the guy that galvanized that clubhouse.
    • Mentioned that Kemp, Ethier and Martin did not do well around vets when they first came up. Manny changed that.
    • After Manny signed his contract, he was a different dude. Granted he got busted early on, but he was not the same dude that he had been the year before.
    • The club had no intention of bringing Puig up in 2013. They wanted him to stay in the minors for AT LEAST a full season. The org was well aware of his wrinkles and didn't want to see him get off track. Injuries forced their hand and the rest is history.
    • Apparently Puig is actually a really nice/sweet guy, but growing up in Cuba caused him to live his life for today and today only. Nobody could get him to think differently, not even a private meeting with Kobe could do the trick.

I didn't think it was possible for me to hate Frank McCourt even more than I already did but then I read this post.

Those Dodgers teams were in desperate need of a true ace and CC was the best pitcher in baseball at the time. Still somehow managed to make it to the NLCS back to back years with Derek Lowe as our ace. With CC, it's not unrealistic to think they grab a title. Smh

    Fuck that cunt.
