They didn’t agree to a deal so I’m pretty sure it stays

So now we have a DH for all our too fat/injured/clutzy/blocked power hitters who end up wasting away on the vine.
In modern baseball I think it makes sense.
Besides I want us to keep Joc Pederson.

Dodgers can now trot out a lineup of
    RF Mookie
    SS Seager
    3B Muncy
    1B Bellinger
    DH Turner
    LF Joc
    2B Lux
    C Smith
    CF Pollock

Having the DH means JT would be best utilized (For his health and all) as DH.

agree but if no JT then Seager at 3rd right?
might as well move up that experiment
and isn't Lux a plus ss?
i think Belli cleans up a whole lot of mistakes

nah. Seager is a plus defender at SS, I want Muncy on a corner because his range is more limited as opposed to Seager. Lux is a plus SS but he'll also be a plus 2B.

Leave it to baseball to take a horror show like a worldwide plague to make the faggoty changes to the game.
    What fucking douchebaggery.
It's sounds to me, like the choose up sides game we played as kids, with " official pitcher, official runner", etc.
when the amount of kids who just wanted to play baseball for the love of it, was uneven.
    Laughable.
I'll watch it, but not as a die- hard fan as I've been for 65 years, but as a curious observer like I did look at Flippo the Seal Boy ( a thalidomide victim) at the side show in Palisades Amusement Park.
It made me sad. Caused me to wonder why things like that even happen at all...but I looked every time.
They say the same for highway rubbernecking at an accident site...but what baseball is morphing into now, is far more than an accident...and way uglier.
Tommy must be bleeding from his palms and feet...Dodger Blue stigmata.

Some details for the 2020 season:
    • 60 game schedule: 40 games in your division, 20 games interleague play based on region (example: NL West will only play AL West in interleague games)
    • While I haven't seen it verified, my understanding is the same divisions and playoff structure as usual
    • Spring Training start ~ July 1
    • Season starts July 23/24
    • 30-man roster to start the season, the roster goes down to 28 after 2 weeks, and then 26 after 4 weeks
    • Trade deadline of Aug 31
    • Universal DH
    • Player on 2B to start extra innings (regular season only)
    • 60-day IL changed to 45-day IL

Muncy is rated as a strong defender at 3B, but man are his throws a journey. He fires it across the diamond, but he short hops the shit out of them.

It's also worth noting that in the 2020 deal players have the right to opt-out, with pay, if they are high-risk, or if they live with someone who is high-risk (this includes a pregnant spouse). Additionally, anyone can opt-out of the season for any other reason, with no pay. It has yet to be seen if very many players will take advantage of this opt-out option, but since the MLBPA fought for this, I would expect at least a handful of players to sit out the season. Just something to keep in mind before writing out your WS Champion Dodgers lineups.

Additional note: For those who opt-out because they are high-risk, or live with someone high-risk, they will accrue service time.

You know what this means... we might see a Buehler heater in Correia’s ass. Absolutely tragic those games won’t be played in front of fans.

Have someone not as important (especially in a short season) to do it. Joe Kelly would be perfect

Joe Kelly owes us to be honest. The dude can apparently break someone's ribs without trying.

Joe Kelly couldn't even hit a massive target in his yard without breaking a window.

If we instruct him to hit someone, he'll probably take out one of our players in the dugout.

Just let Joe be Joe and he'll inevitably drill someone.

Despite the ridiculousness that took place the past couple of months, I am very happy a season is taking place.

There's a great chance that the Dodgers break our hearts once again but throwing away a season when your team is one projected to be one of the best in the sport would've stung. Especially after acquiring Betts.
