Dave Roberts has put out a shitty lineup 4 out of 4 games. Keeps changing shit around and no one can get into a rhythm. Stick with one fucking lineup for more than one game at a fucking time you imbecile. It is not hard, not hard at all.
    RF Betts
    SS Seager
    3b Turner
    CF Bellinger
    1B Muncy
    LF Joc
    2B Taylor
    C Smith
    DH Rios/Pollock/Kiki
It's not difficult. this is mostly the lineup sans Betts and plus Verdugo that we used last year and it fucking worked, at least in the regular season it did.

As I wrote, I don't think we so fucking all fire good as we think we are, but it all may be moot.
This "flu" just may put a kibosh very soon on the whole cluster fuck anyway.
Games cancelled already not even a week into it.
How many cancellations can you have, in reality, in a 60 game season?
Team looks heartless in record time...usually takes a month or two for this malaise to set in. Not this year.
I guess the AAA Vagiants set a low bar for us, and appears we can't limbo with the supposed worst of them.

Glad I did not stay awake to watch the end of that one. Some really weird/bad rosterbating going on by Roberts. He is WAY overthinking the R-L thing and putting weaker hitters in spots they should not be. With that said, even in the first two games, there were TONS of missed opportunities. Dumb decisions by baserunners, but also a shit ton of hard hit balls that either the Giants made great plays on or it was right at them. This team always seems to get off to a slow start, so I am not panicked, but there is less room for error than any year before. Starting pitching may be more of a problem than I thought it would be. While Urias was decent, he is still missing his spots and that is going back all the way to original spring training. Wood was down I believe 3 or 4 full ticks from what he was doing in the offseason and early, which is a GIANT red flag. Not to mention, he just looked plain awful. The long spring training is not for the hitters usually, it is for the starting pitchers and ours looked pretty rusty as even Strip was not his usual self. Losing Price after he looked so good in ST could hurt a lot more than I originally thought and guys like May and Gray may be more important than many thought they would need to be.

should have pinch hit for kiké in that bases loaded situation
had guys like joc, beatty and rios on the bench
    and kiké against rhp sucks

i’m almost okay with shutting down the season
better than the thought of winning 45 games only to get swept by a 25 win team

If that would happen this year it would happen next year too.
Because Dave sucks the life out of the game.
And the players have a hard time getting a second emotional wind once shit goes south.

.....and that's on the players, not the manager.

That's a matter of opinion...and even if true to some extent, time after time, as shown is his approach, he is a manager who shows that kind of leadership ( or lack of it, BIG time) is the culprit bottom line, over time.
That what he's paid for, not to suck the life out of a team repeticiously, like a baseball Nosferatu.

    He cuts balls.
    Then players become eunuchs.
Doesn't let them get too big emotionally, I guess to avoid a crash.
But you have to let them get those big moments where they go for a no hitter.
Putting mook batting second looks like one of those attempts at reeling him in a bit under control.
Hes already a strong personality and then he got that huge payday and said he wanted to leadoff.
Well they can't do anything bout his strength or the extra gravity that comes with all that money in his pockets.
But they can fuck with where he hits.
    Subtle reminder.
    We still own you.

I was surprised by that too. I was expecting Joc to pinch hit for Taylor two batters earlier. We needed runs at that point, and I would have ran out every lefty I could against that carnival trick pitcher.

was okay with taylor since there's not much disparity between his rhp/lhp splits
but kiké's splits against rhp are pretty dismal
