yeah but if you're w the same woman its never going back to what it was
i said i'd give marriage one shot and give it my best as a man and i did
wasn't infidelity that did us in it was greed on her part and high expectations on mine
i've forgiven her and we're good friends but man did i burst out of the gates after that
no way i'd ever make that commitment twice

    Amazing how things play out.
Had she lived, we'd still be together.
Went 43 years as it was, until the gods took her from me.

    I mean between the boys.
I dont know about yall but im a bit of a schoolboy when it comes to cheating on women.
I think its being a dog.
In the worst type of way.
    I don't respect anyone.
By which I mean that I give everyone the same respect right off the bat.
No one gets special respect because of entitlement, bank account, charm, skills, or physical attributes. They actually lose respect quick if they ever use any of those things as a crutch.
    Which we all do.
    I am a tough critic.

I respect any random dude as a man.
Then with time as a bro.
    A compadre.
You guys just dont know about the compadre stuff.
Its been dying out for the last few decades.
The real old style compadre thing we used to have.
Sure you have heard about it in westerns and stuff.
You hear people say compadre but its just a word now for most.
It used to be so much more.
Its got bro, patriot and paisan rolled into one.
It translates directly as co-father but more like compatriot.
But not just of your country and nation.
Of another land where you are the princes.
Sure its all a figment of the imagination.
But that's the most powerful fuel in the world.
    It can move mountains.
Of people, like the germanic Thing.
All of the people who attended the thing were compadres.
And thats how the alemanni and a bunch of other tribes of hitite, armenian, turkish, magyar and other random nordic and dutch types became the Germanic brotherhood.

But you can lose my respect if you cheat on your woman.
From bro to man or from man to guy.
Guy is already a slight disrespect imo.
The least you can be is be a man.
And once we know your a man you are basically a bro.
I am very judgy I know.
But I don't like to pass sentence.
Why I play with sliding scales.
And you can always make it up.
But first there's a little hell to pay.
Someones got to make you pay it.
Before you can get back and play.

    I have an excuse.
I come from a long line of womanizers and bigamists who thought it cool to fuck em and slap em and humiliate them with other women in front of them.
And I have gotten into fistfights with all of them to teach them whats right.
    Or they teach me.
Either way I always got my ass kicked.
So that's my particular cross to bear.
But now my uncles and cousins are better off.
And they no longer beat their wives and impregnate random women.
I would also steal their booze and fuck their side pieces.
I had to teach them a lesson.
I am a mean bastard when its time for some schoolwork.
    Yall dont even know.

it interesting to see a man who's found his happiness because i feel genuinely good for him
no matter what it is if it works for him and those around him its an excellent thing
until it isn't and then it comes down to character
i despise whiny guys who complain about what a woman did to them
or bring young lives into the world and feel ok to let them live without the influence of a father
a guy like that loses my respect straight away
doesn't matter what you want after you bring a child into the world, they need your time and guidance
which is crazy since none of us really has any idea wtf we're doing if we're honest
but basic skills and attitude from all those lessons need to be passed on and reinforced
i think thats one of the things we do here even if we think we know who we are and what we're doing
a good group of guys is a check up on rational thought
not everyone can be a good and loving man
and that extends to everyone you will ever meet
but my fondest memories are how it applied to my daughter and raising her
telling her "we get what we get" and hearing her say "we get what we get right daddy? right?" for years
or having her walk in and ask "where do we go when we die?" w tears in her eyes and asking if she wanted the truth or a fairytale
having her come lay down and ask me as a teenager "what happens when someone breaks your heart?"
i was there to answer those questions and that bond makes me stronger as a man
that's why i took my marriage so seriously because i didn't have that as a kid
i had a dad and he was a good man but he just wasn't that interested in engaging me
also i had already spread enough seed before i made the commitment so i wasn't looking for vindication in every woman's eyes
Irish and I grew up in an era where you walked in to clubs and plucked pussy out of the air
if you weren't there you wouldn't understand but you didn't need to be a stud to get laid and std's were an after thought
so i knew if i wasn't all in it would never work but in the end i found myself working way too hard to make her happy
and like my brothers i had put her on a pedestal and bitches have their place but on a pedestal is not one of them
so ultimately it was my fault for putting her and myself in that position
when i understood that i knew that was always the case and it always came down to me and what i could do better in a given situation
but i'm always up for a good adventure when it comes to the boys
i have my limitations but fear of work or finding a solution isn't one of them
never wanted to belong to any clubs or organizations
came across plenty of men that engaged me and then suddenly started talking about some group that usually was an offshoot of some scientology sect
those come down to humiliation and i'm not down w that but maybe some people need it
i find myself more attracted to stories w strong individuals that made their own way
not talking financial success or accumulation of stuff but a state of being free
once you're free no one can shake you off your foundation and those guys are awesome
because we possess fire in our hands and the only limitations are the ones we argue for
then its just a question of what you are willing to do without compromising your integrity and your soul
that stuff is real and absolutely comes back to you
i meet young guys that work for me all the time and its really crazy how much they respect the things i've said in passing without thought
sometimes they remind me years later because i fall in love w young hard working guys looking to make their way
i don't know anything but i know that old saying we're all students and we're all teachers is the truth
i learn it still from the look of joy in a babies eyes and its like an electrical field that's always there, its truly fascinating how the answers present themselves
many years ago a young kid that knew very little named Jose came to work for me
started teaching him how to use acetylene mixtures and plasma cutters and other tools and he started taking pride and growing
as i encouraged him to try thing i didn't even know how to do he blossomed and became ready to try anything
ff to a month ago and i'm walking up state street in SB looking in stores and thinking about things i need to do and how i need Jose for some iron work
I hear "Mike" and turn around to see Jose and suddenly i'm embracing the very guy i was thinking about
    we are connected forever
it doesn't equal a lottery win but that synchronicity of who we are to each other is stronger than anything i've ever known
fortunate to have great people around me even if they aren't there everyday
at least thats my definition of a brother or a compadre to the best of my limited ability to communicate it

Wife never gave me the same old drivel reasons why men say they cheat. She was the best I ever had, on multiple level. I had succeeded in marrying her beyond my wildest dreams.
A+ on every aspect, except maybe finances, but certainly no excuse for tomcatting.
I know why I did it. Like absolutely...
    because I could.

Let's start selling My Toilet Roll.
Premium previously used and refurbished to better than new levels of quality.
With no added dyes or perfumes.
Only all naturally occuring colors and odors.
For your most sensitive of bottoms.
From the bottom of my bottom and up yours!

If that don't work I get mybidet as the next product.
It's the only covid proof way to wipe your private in a public place.
But it leaves me a little cold.

Which leads me to my next product.

Gotta work in the name though.
That's a tough URL to have to type.

    A story to share...
In 1965, Dodgers and Giants playing and Lou Johnson hits a line drive into the stands, clearly foul. Although obviously foul, Augie Donatelli, ump working the foul line, makes an emphatic call anyway.
Between innings, Donatelli notices the medical staff carrying out a woman who was previously seated in the area...he asks Jim Gilliam, who was playing 3b that day, " what happend to her? Was she hit by that foul ball or something? "
Junior says " Nah. She just lost consciousness when you called it right".

    Another story to share:
U2 front man, Bono, visited George Bush and in conversation asked why the president couldn't do more for poor people...
Bush answered that they were looking into that...and he was curious why he won't get back together with Cher.

NJ being battered by tropical storm. I can hear generators blowing all over the place. The power has gone out 5 times...surprised that it just went back on, but Idk for how long. Floods everywhere, poles down, and I live in the higher elevations.
    Tornado warning, too.
All this, covod-19, and Dave Roberts.
I fully expect locusts and boils, but after "Doc" ( must be a practitioner of quackery), my heart is hardened, like pharoah's was.

    Thanks, you guys.
It's gone now, left in it's wake lots of downed trees, areas of power outages, and quite a few closed roads.
Had a flood on the fitst floor ( the rain was torrential for almost 3 hours straight), and some of my artwork got damaged. It's not so much my paintings that I did, no big thing, but some of my collected prints and original stuff.
Cleaning up a flood in the house is like nasty stuff. Messy shit all over.
