Did they just say Joe Torre helped a pitcher ?
    Wow...usually he ended their careers...

This is definitely not the place to post anything positive about Kershaw. Think about tradition, please...

Okay, seriously, where's Russ Martin? Did he retire or just not get signed by any team? Can't we coax him to come back for one more short season to platoon with Smith? Barnes is a joke at the plate, and that's not a new development.

Nah, he sure can't hit...and has made not an iota of improvement it appears.
But he's a damn good backstop, and still young enough to maybe come out of his doldrums one day, and is a good spell for Smith.
The Dodgers can carry him, especially right now.
And aren't there some nice prospects in the MiL ?

    Kersh looking top shelf...real sharp.
In fact, if it weren't for defensive positioning, he may have had a no no going.
But Roberts would have taken him out, so it doesn't matter.

His middle finger was bothering him. Think his hand got jammed in one of the AZ games

i respect Kenley coming back considering everything
its great to see him in shape and lose that stupid hair
but he sure isn't eliciting anything in the way of confidence w that stuff
sure he can be a strong piece but don't see him as closer over everyone on this staff
also sure that's exactly who he's going to be
    nice catch Cody

And that's a wrap. Good to see CK back and pitching well. HRs from Mookie and Belly. Not good hitting with RISP, and Barnes is worthless on the offensive side of the plate, but the BP looked good again and we took the series like we should against teams like this. Nice win.

Good win and should’ve been a sweep.
Time to play SD and remind them who’s boss

Kershaw hitting his spots like vintage Kershaw. The single by Walker was about the only solid contact I recall.

Hopefully Bellinger is untracked. He crushed that ball to the track in his second AB. Made the final play of the game look easy. He and Betts both are so smooth in the field.

Hoping Mookie's finger is nothing that will keep out. Didn't hinder him much on that pool shot.

The RISP thing continues to be a problem. Looked it up and they leave more RISP than anyone in the league despite winning 7 of their first 10.

Barnes is absolutely pathetic at the plate. So damned passive.

    Alden Gonzalez on Betts.....

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Mookie Betts had a lot of swelling on the middle finger of his left hand, which prompted him to leave early. An X-ray was negative, so Betts is day to day.

7 of our next 10 are against SD. A good time to make a statement.

I’m always a little torn, because I love the city but hate the sports teams.

After today's game, I am legit annoyed over the fact that we should be 9-1. Big series in SD. Their pen has been a mess in the early going, so hopefully it continues through our series. Pads have been hitting the shit out of the ball and have been doing things late. Our pen is going to need to step up. The big pen arms should be rested, so it could be one hell of a series.
