We’ve treated this series like tryouts and the Padres have treated it like a NLCS, yet all we saw Monday was overhype on the Padres and “the start of a rivalry”. It’s gonna take way more than one interesting win and one winning season from the Padres for me to care much about them. They might beat us in the playoffs! Sure, They’re good! But, they’re not nearly a top 5 rival or anything

Taylor should be in everyday over Muncy, Lux, and Joc.

    Sounds plausible...for you, that is.
But, we're talking about Dave here...too mutifaceted and complex, I think.

I do wonder if Taylor or Pollock is the better CF. Taylor is faster at this point, more athletic, but doesn’t have nearly the same experience out there.
I like putting in Enrique as a defensive replacement

Really ? If they beat us in the playoffs, then they're are our Daddy. After 8 years in the playoffs for us?
    Maybe our Grandaddy, too.

    He's just better. Flat out.
Pollock's experience didn't help him on the blooper that almost torpedoed Toomgis last night.

sure if they beat us in the playoffs, we hate them they hate us, that’s fine with me. Same if the Marlins beat us! I hate the Mets and Nats cause they beat us! But my point is they’ve tried turning it into this regular season rivalry as if they’ve done anything and as if I should care they beat us one game when these games barely matter, they’ve really not beat down on us in like over a decade, and we turn Petco park into dodger stadium south. They’re a team that is having a good fun season for this first time in forever and we’ve won the division 8 years in a row with our main competitor being the Giants, DBacks and Rockies, all of which we’ve had real pennant races and division series match ups against. Padres might play us and beat us in the playoffs, they’re more than capable of doing so just like any other NL team, but they should be looking up to us, not the other way around

I like that he’s at least throwing strikes with this lead but darn yeah would’ve loved to see him give up no runs. I think you take him out now but idk

As we’ve been saying, May struggles once a batter sees him more than once... clear evidence he should go 4-5 max

can’t only have 2 pitches and go 6+

lol, this is definitely a tryout now. Victor Gonzalez coming into the 8th with a 3 run lead. Guess Treinen in the 9th?

Roberts comes up with a brand new bizarre and idiotic strategy. What was the point of the reverse game...?
