I think we’ve done pretty well in bp games but Jesus can Mitch White or someone get a spot start?

I get we got a division race but it can’t be any worse than having bullpen games.

just seems a bit shortsighted to have a bullpen game just before leaving on a 4-day bender anywhere, let alone coors fucken field

Technically it was a bullpen game with Gradesol starting, but with May going 5.1 (right around what he usually throws) the pen usage ended up being less than a pen game.

Didn't particularly like the strategy of saving May until later in the game. What if the pen starter shits himself and puts the team in a hole? (no homo) You fall behind early in an important game with your best available arm on the pine.

There's some nerd logic there somewhere, but it's lost on me.

Like @fsudog21 said, it wasn't really a bullpen game yesterday. May went 5.1, so the actual pen usage was normal. The good news is Jansen got the day off, so he should be available.

It was a joke. I'm actually hoping Jansen skips the trip to Coors, you know, for his heart (and mine).

oh man, that’s a good point. He sometimes goes on blood thinners or something when he goes to Coors... and with COVID he honestly should look at not making his body weaker. But, I’m not a doctor and I doubt he wants to do that

i guess it's age related, but I have the same thing, and have been on blood thinners since the surgery.

I guess it's different for a 30(?) yr. old 7ft. giant Curacaoan Toomgis.
    I guess.
