if its late in the game and the Dodgers are ahead, I would be ok with Kersh coming in for the save.

Not a worse possible idea than Kershaw throwing a pitch tomorrow.

Honestly I probably start Brusdar tomorrow. I’ve liked him as an opener and he seems to be a little weird in high leverage situations late. Start out the game with him and see if he can give you 2. Go to an ok reliever for bottom of lineup, then go to Gonsolin for 3-4. Then see where that takes you and adjust from there based off offense. If you’re desperate go to Julio, if the game is comfortable use another reliever

Urias has had the most success against Atlanta in this series, I would plan on using him at some point tomorrow.

This is the year. I really think we’d take care of the Rays. I’m so nervous for tomorrow....please find a way.

    I'm torn.

Told myself I wouldn't watch beyond game 4 out of disgust for what happened in that game. I still followed the updates on my phone and of course I'm thrilled that we won the next two, especially game 6 against a great pitcher.

I'm not a particularly supersticious person, and I know logically that nothing I do can possibly have any effect on the outcome of the game. But still, the fact is that we won the last two with me not turning the TV on once. I kind of feel I shouldn't change that tomorrow.

But I really want to see this game. So I agonize.

A 32-year drought will do this to a person.

Was so disgusted after Game 4 I watched Game 5 on my laptop with the sound muted. Did the same yesterday afternoon.

Going to do it again tonight.

Somehow I'm not missing Joe Buck in the least.

So in game 2 (Gonsolin vs. Anderson) Gonsolin was basically perfect through 4 and Anderson walked everyone but gave up no hard contact

I don’t think Gonsolin is starting but he’s prob pitching the most innings, and I hope he continues his attack and shuts them down...getting 5 out of him sets everything else up

but again and again and again, game will be won or lost if the offense shows up. They have a well rested bullpen. We couldn’t tee off on Anderson. Gonna have to adjust and find a way to have good at bats with good contact every single damn time cause there’s no mora victories with high pitch counts or hard hit balls. Today they need hits and hits and walks then hits

Just a reminder: if we should make it to the WS, I'm pretty sure Kershaw will be out there a couple of times.
Uh, not positive, but pretty sure.
So, he is not going away just yet...

I am on a group text with my Dodger fan section of my family. I’m the ONLY ONE that is saying for the love of god, don’t use Kershaw. They all love him and feel he can do no wrong(A few are season ticket holders). My brother in law legit called me last October and asked me why I am so against Kersh in the big games. The end of it was they all feel bad for him and want to see redemption. They’d rather see him try and fail, then someone else be the guinea pig.

so what you’re saying: pitch him tonight in game 7 so if we do make it to World Series, he only pitches until game 3. 4D chess

Hearing on MLB radio this morning that Graterol might get the ball to open.

With Gonsolin likely (and hopefully) getting the bulk of the innings, I would hope the decision makers would take into account whether Gonsolin is more comfortable starting or coming in out of the pen. If he doesn't mind coming in out of the pen, I'd go with Graterol. I think he's perfectly suited to be the opener.
<now he'll get hammered for three runs in the first>

I don't recall writing that...if that's what I felt, I would have written so, but I just put out a FYI reminder.
But it seems that there might be some who think that he's not going to be used at all...and it's just ain't so.
So those so full of dread over him, should probably take out their hara kiri kit.
IF we get there, that is.
Don't know about 4D chess...something that Spock played on Star Trek, wasn't it ?

I don't think it is going to be a close game. The winner is gonna win by at least 5 runs, imo. Two rookies getting bulk innings tonight in a game 7 has me thinking someone is going to jump out to a big lead early and never look back. Gonsolin has been arguably our best PITCHER all season(not just starter), yet nobody is treating him like such. I think he either comes out and shoves or gets absolutely brutalized with nothing in between. I kind of want to see the club just lean on him, let him start and see what happens. Stop babying our young pitchers, accept the consequences and maybe some of our young players will grow up sooner.

Feels like the second biggest game since 88 outside of game 7 vs the cheaters. The Brewers game 7 felt so different because Boston was so much better than anyone else that year.
