The obsession with 'beauty' always leads to idolizing things that half of your congregation find abominable.
Maybe putting up idols is a bad thing because it dumbs the people down and causes schisms when some don't like the new idols and want the old ones back.
If god loved beauty so much he would have stopped at the houses of the holy.
They look beautiful.
But their hearth is not on fire.
And their eyes are obsessed with looking for beauty.

Yes he is.
The force has a strong side and a weak side.
