Well, a record breaker here with this diabolical white shit...all time for NJ. in one snow storm. A town down the road about 2.5 miles...35.5 inches. My town, 33 inches. Cheers, John Snow.
Thanks. But definitely no country for old men. I look worse than that dude in Diablo's post up there...
took a flyer and went to a local brewery and ate Mexican egg rolls for dinner https://www.instagram.com/pacos_mexican_egg_rolls/?hl=en the tres leches dessert was absurd but the entire menu is original and super fucking delicious cause i just kept eating
Shit's getting old here in NW N.J. Snow storm after snowstorm, freezing rain...waiting for a huge ice storm over the next two days, temperatures in the teens...fuck ' em all, fuck ' em all...the long, the short and the tall. I long for the good old days when it was just Pestilence, War, Famine and... well...fuck Death. I think considering the situation, there should be an update to five horseman now...I nominate Plague !
Plague is already part of the 4. There was a printing mistake in the King James I believe. On a weird side not plague is pronounced almost the same as beach in romance languages. Because that is where plagues arrive and mate with the sons of the beach. Try not to die. Not a good time.
been a lot of years but Cincy is a strange place as is most of Ohio imo used to go there on business and didn't really explore much but did go to the old Riverfront stadium was in the middle of a long stretch of sobriety at the time and was watching the beer guy walk around w sweat rolling off his cap and into the beer when he got to the person in front of me i mentioned what i saw and he just laughed and said its all protein... i remembered looking around the stadium and feeling like a total alien in that crowd its kind of like La Canada, you can't really put your finger on what it is exactly but you know you don't belong lol have to check out the Basil
30-40 dollar bourbon is under rated. You can find good bottles. Elijah Craig is pretty solid for the price. Makes a good old fashion and even drinks nice on the rocks. Basil Hayden is another. I keep these in the cabinet as staples.
Ive never had either. Pappys is way out of my league. My cabinet doesn’t hold such greatness and while I have friends with great taste, those bottles are few and far between. I’m an alcoholic so $2500 bottles are a regrettable hangover. I keep solid daily drinkers at 30-60 and some good single malts but nothing more than a couple hundred dollars a bottle. I actually have a great family friend from Scotland who has turned me onto some whisky that you would swear was > $200 a bottle but retails at 50 or so dollars. He’s taught me to not get caught up in dollars and age. Whisky is so interesting
Nephew handled the sale of our old home about a year ago and after the deal closed he gave me a bottle of Hayden and the wife a bottle of Dom. I've really enjoyed the Hayden. Wife and daughters downed the Dom around the holidays. I can't stand champagne, even the so-called good stuff.
love this post especially the la cañada reference... ever traveled thru monrovia devil? it’s like back to the future meets the twilight zone never been to ohio, and am grateful for your clarification so i won’t have to add it to my bucket list lol
