One thing you learn by being the oldest guy, is when you read that a guy's knee sounds like a gravel pit, you're pretty sure you know what it is...arthritis. If you're bone on bone, or near that point, acupuncture may relieve it somewhat, but it won't replace lost cartilage. Losing some weight will most likely help. I never tried acupuncture for my many osteo problems, though. My experience with acupuncture is that it fucking hurt, and did zero to help my tinnitus. Good luck.
About a year and a half ago my right knee started hurting me like a SOB. Went to the doc and they diagnosed it as arthritis. He gave me a knee brace and sent me on my way. Didn't help much. Ran into an old friend a short time later (he had a bad football knee) and he said he got relief from taking this stuff. I got it at Costco. He said if it was going to work for me it would take a couple of months. He was right and I've been taking it ever since and have no pain in that knee.

On one hand, I think if you drive 87 in a 45, that's cause to lose your license indefinitely. I mean, he nailed a tree. It could easily have been a mom walking with her children. On the other hand... two shattered legs, bones sticking out of his skin, put back together with rods and pins. That's pretty significant punishment on its own. Besides, apparently he can't be charged without eyewitnesses. The car's data recorder is not admissible in court. Not sure I fully buy that he's not getting special treatment due to either his race or celebrity, but that's the official statement.
