The free agents to be on this team are not having great seasons outside of 2 guys and they've merely been good.
    • Joc has been pretty awful and that is well documented.
    • Turner has been decent, but his numbers are way down for him. being that it takes him a month to get locked in, this season could not have come at a worse time for his career.
    • Baez has seen his velo drop a bunch and his command has left him too. With the way this bullpen was built this year, he could have helped make quite the 6 headed monster.
    • Hernandez has just looked horrific. I know he is getting accolades for his defense, but he has also made more mistakes than he has ever made before. It says he only has 3 errors, but there have been just a lot of bobbles and his throws have started to get away from him.
    • Wood has been a total non-factor to this point.
    • Treinen is doing well in the ERA category and a substantial step forward over last season, but his underlying metrics are not nearly as strong as his dominant 2018. That now looks more like an outlier in his career(as does 2019 on the other end) and he is more very very good reliever, not arguably the best pen arm in the game. Still he has been pretty fucking good and the FO/coaching staff are talking him up, so I would not be surprised if the goal is to re-sign him to a longer term deal.

Thank you to short time Dodger legend Andrew Heaney for shutting out the Pads for 7 innings last night.
