Freddie got most of the ink, but Brian May was truly a bad ass.

The first thing you hear in this song is the high pitch of silence.

America goes to the highest bidder.

so this is something really special i recently stumbled across
was listening to a band called the Arcs for a few years and thought they were sort of riding the coat tails of the Black Keys
sitting outside a hospital waiting for a friend the other day i started looking up lyrics and ended up finding out it was a side project of Dan Auerbach's lol
but the music had this janky funky and yet elegant twist the Keys don't usually have
started reading about the band and the guy everyone was talking about was Richard Swift aka Richard Ochoa a Mexican kid from Orange Co.
he's dead now after drinking himself to death but what a story the guys life was
a producer, solo artist and session musician extraordinaire that musicians spoke of in reverence
this is a particularly amazing performance since its raining and no one seems to know who he is at a small winery thing
but watch them warm up and crowd the stage as he plays
anyways i hope someone enjoys as much as the winery folks and i did
    tragic and yet glorious
las canciones del Senor Ochoa RIP

chicano batman on spotify took me into all sorts of places, btw batman is a really good band
but i found this nugget and its going to be in my mix forever
a truly gorgeous piece from a 71 Argentine musical creation that was actually a solo artist

I was just listening to American Pie and had a revelation. McLean's lyrics are like a rube post... a collection of words that are loosely affiliated and you think you've got the gist of the message, but only the author knows the true meaning.
